Anthony also shared his salvation story while talking to Rogan, speaking of an injury he sustained that left him feeling desperate and alone. While lying in a hospital bed suffering from a fractured skull, he proclaimed, "I can't do this anymore," and asked God to give him another chance to accomplish what he felt was left for him to do in this life.
The singer also alluded to the writings of the Apostle Paul in Romans, noting that everyone is destined to become a slave to something and that choosing God over fleeting, worldly idols is the right path.
ANTHONY: We all serve some master, whether we realize it or not, so why not let it be the master that is above all? //
As I said in my prior writings on the man, I think those trying to make him some political force are misguided (on both sides). I don't think that's his goal, and that's not something that should be chastised. I don't really care what political party he supports or who he voted for in 2020. There's more to life than political slap-fighting, and reading scripture to Joe Rogan seems like a pretty worthwhile cause to me. //

Rogan is far more likely to let the words from Anthony sink in than he would be if he had John McArthur or Tony Evans on. And it isn't just Rogan, but million and millions of Rogan's listeners. Most of them are probably not hearing the Word of God on a regular basis anywhere else.
Anthony openly admits he is a broken man, saved by the grace of God. He offers a living example that you don't have to pretend to be perfect or fit a mold to be a follower of Christ.
We are all broken, to one degree or another, for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
....
If you will notice in the Bible, we are told of failures and sins of almost every major figure. There is a reason for this in my opinion. We are not to hold them up as perfect or as the best example, but to Christ. All of them were sinners and all of them were flawed, except the one perfect, fully man, fully God, Jesus Christ. God uses everyone and he can reach people with Anthony that some of the greatest men of God of our generation could not reach.
We are in the midst of one of the most radical revolutions in American history. It is as far-reaching and dangerous as the turbulent years of the 1850s and 1860s or the 1930s.
Every aspect of American life and culture is under assault, including the very processes by which we govern ourselves, and the manner in which we live.
The Revolution began under the Obama administration that sought to divide Americans into oppressed and oppressors, and then substitute race for class victimization.
It was empowered by the bicoastal wealth accrued from globalization, and honed during the COVID lockdown, quarantine-fed economic downturn, and the George Floyd riots and their aftermath.
The Revolution was boosted by fanatic opposition to the presidency of Donald Trump.
And the result is an America that is unrecognizable from what it was a mere decade ago.
Here are 10 upheavals that the Left has successfully wrought.

SEXES
The heterosexual male and female, marriage, and the nuclear family are all to be suspect. //
Sex, but not race, is constructed, and thus a matter not of biology but of individual choice.
- RACE, NOT CLASS
Racial inequality and lack of parity are due to “whiteness.” //
- DEBT IS A CONSTRUCT
Modern monetary theory proved that annual deficits and national debt are just a state accounting challenge.
So printing more money is an act that properly diminishes the value of existing capital improperly horded by parasitic profiteers.
Spreading the ensuing cash wealth to the more deserving and victimized is long overdue social justice. //
- UNIVERSITIES
It is now heresy that universities should be places of disinterested inquiry and inductive investigation. //
None of the above was true at the millennium; all are now — with more still to come.
RFK Jr., in his recent announcement of his candidacy for president, declared that he was going to do something truly radical if elected president: tell the truth, no matter how uncomfortable or unpopular //
The idea of a politician being held to such a standard shouldn’t be radical, but it absolutely is. At this point, we simply take it for granted that if a government actor’s lips are moving, he’s probably lying. The only questions are how much of what he’s saying is exaggerated, distorted, or outright fabricated, and for what purpose?
And because the corporate media that is supposed to expose and chronicle politicans’ lies is almost always in on the deception itself, the onus falls on the individual or a trusted independent media source to sort fact from fiction. What this leads to is a devastating decay in trust in government and an erosion of civic engagement of the sort seen in Eastern Europe in the heyday of Soviet communism.
“The rules are simple: they lie to us, we know they’re lying, they know we know they’re lying but they keep lying anyway, and we keep pretending to believe them.”

ChatGPT was apparently made to hate the GOP.
A damning new report has detailed that the highly advanced language model AI was programmed not only with liberal biases — like censoring The Post’s Hunter Biden coverage — but also to be more tolerant of hate-style speech towards the right wing by its creator OpenAI. //
“OpenAI’s content moderation system is more permissive of hateful comments made about conservatives than the exact same comments made about liberals,” according to data from the Manhattan Institute, a conservative NYC-based policy and economic-driven think tank.
“Relatedly, negative comments about Democrats were also more likely to be labeled as hateful than the same derogatory comments made about Republicans.” //
Beyond politics, similar tendencies were found in ChatGPT’s moderation system about types of people, races and religions as well.
“Often the exact same statement was flagged as hateful when directed at certain groups, but not when directed at others,” the report, “Danger in the Machine:
The Perils of Political and Demographic Biases Embedded in AI Systems,” noted.
In regards to that, ChatGPT — which continues to make its way into the workforce — was found to be particularly harsh towards middle-class individuals. //
“I was not cherry picking specific examples. I tested over 6,000 sentences, negative adjectives about each one of these different demographic groups. The statistical effect about these differences [between types of people] was quite substantial.”
The truth is that it’s important to speak your mind, he said, and he didn’t care too much about what anyone thought of him–except dogs, because he liked dogs. How do you sleep at night knowing some people don’t like you, he said some had asked him. “With the fan on,” he joked. “Because I think I make the right people mad.”
“What else is the truth?” Kennedy asked. “The truth is God is great, beer is good, and, and, the United States of America is star-spangled awesome!”
“I cannot imagine what the world would be like without our country,” he said.
“The truth is common sense is illegal in Washington, D.C.; I know, I’ve seen it first-hand,” Kennedy declared. “I wonder sometimes how some people in Washington, D.C., actually made it through the birth canal. The truth is we’re going to have to get some new conspiracy theories. Because all the old ones came true.
“The truth is, I do not hate anyone,” Kennedy avowed. “I look for grace, wherever I can find it, so I say this gently: the Biden administration sucks.” You measure it any way you want, he said; on any issue, Biden had been “spectacularly awful.”
“If you put President Biden in charge of the Sahara Desert, he would run out of sand,” Kennedy joked. “If the aliens landed in Washington, D.C., tomorrow and said ‘take me to your leader,’ it would be embarrassing.”
He then listed a variety of other truths.
“If you worked hard and earned it, you should get to keep most of it.”
“All life is precious — all life — and shame on those who celebrate actually celebrate abortion.”
“The Republican Party, I’m very proud of this, is the party of parents. because we understand that if you don’t love your children, your children won’t stop loving you your children will stop loving themselves.”
“We should have an election day, not an election month.”
“Illegal immigration is illegal, duh. Unless you peaked in high school, you know that. Why doesn’t President Biden?”
“If gun control laws worked, Chicago would be Mayberry. Instead, it is the world’s largest outdoor shooting range.”
“America was founded on the principle of free will and responsibility and I believe in that. Many in Washington do not.”
“Race should not be used to hurt a person or to help a person. You know why? Because the truth is also that souls have no color. To a bear, we all taste like chicken.”
“The Chinese Communist Party is a bunch of gangsters…I would not turn my back on President Xi if he were two days dead.”
“We must be armed if we want peace, because appeasing a tyrant is like trying to hand-feed a shark.”
Kennedy reminded the audience of those who had gone before us and given the last full measure of devotion in the defense of this nation.
“Arlington National Cemetery contains 400,000 reasons why you should stand your a** up for the national anthem,” Kennedy declared. “And those who disagree with me can stick that up their fact-checker.”
Kennedy wrapped up by saying our future could be better than our present or our past, but “no one was going to save us but ourselves.” He noted that most countries “die from suicide, not murder,” and that we had to be committed to fighting for America. “So join with me” and help fight for America, he said. “No one will ever say, Kennedy quit.”
Under RCV, which critics call “rigged-choice voting,” voters rank candidates in order of preference. If no candidate receives a majority of first-choice votes in the first round of voting, the last-place finisher is eliminated, and his votes are reallocated to the voter’s second-choice candidate. Such a process continues until one candidate receives a majority of votes. //
While the 2020 RCV initiative, known as Ballot Measure 2, was sold to Alaskans as an effort to keep outside dark money from influencing the state’s elections, it was out-of-state funding that helped push the initiative over the finish line. According to an October 2020 report by Breitbart News, for instance, Yes on 2 for Better Elections, a pro-RCV group, raised more funds from outside Alaska ($6,194,081) than from within the state ($20,000).
RCV “becomes an invitation for exceeding amounts of dark money to come in and put forth a candidate that nobody knows,” Mathias said. “Alaskans are tired of being manipulated by rich people from outside [the state who] think they can tell us what to do.”
During the 2022 midterms, Democrat Mary Peltola defeated former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin in the race for Alaska’s at-large congressional district as a result of ranked-choice voting. The RCV system also made a difference in the state’s Senate race, where incumbent GOP Sen. Lisa Murkowski fended off a challenge from Trump-backed Kelly Tshibaka. As The Federalist’s Tristan Justice reported, Murkowski’s allies were heavily involved in the push for Alaska to adopt RCV as a way to bolster the incumbent senator’s reelection prospects. //
RCV often disenfranchises segments of voters that left-wing election groups often classify as marginalized, such as racial minorities and non-English speakers. Studies analyzing voting patterns in U.S. cities that utilize ranked-choice voting have shown this to be true.
According to a report from the Alaska Policy Forum, for example, after San Francisco, California, implemented an RCV system, voter turnout decreased among black and white voters, as well as those who were younger or didn’t have a high school education. Similar trends were also present in Minneapolis and Oakland, where “voters in predominately minority precincts were less likely to fully utilize their ballots, making ballot exhaustion more likely.”
IIRC, Webb’s images first appeared on or about the same day as Gus Fring’s Double was revealed on Better Call Saul. Some clever person combined the two events to create a picture of the Double titled Hubble Telecope: and a picture of Gus titled Webb Telescope:. A case of 1 + 1 > 2, IMHO
I had a Psychology prof at Oberlin whose area of expertise was surveys, and he made the statement that any reasonably competent person in that field could create a survey which captured accurate data, but the really good people could use it to manipulate a person’s views as a product of taking the survey. This was perfectly portrayed by Sir Humphrey on Yes, Prime Minister who showed that people who either supported or were against National Service could be persuaded to have the opposite opinion after answering a few questions.

Avlon: These are the key things Biden needs to address in State of the Union

—
Labor Secretary Marty Walsh is the “designated survivor” during President Joe Biden’s second State of the Union address on Tuesday night.
The selection comes the same day CNN reported that Walsh is expected to depart the Biden administration soon – marking the first Cabinet secretary departure of Biden’s presidency.
Biden’s address is taking place in the House chamber, where he’s speaking in front of nearly every influential federal official in Washington – including members of Congress, top military brass, US Supreme Court justices and senior officials within his administration.
Walsh, a key member of Biden’s economic team, becomes the first Labor secretary in American history publicly known to have participated in the obscure ritual in order to maintain the line of presidential succession in the rare case that disaster strikes.
Last year, Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo was the designated survivor for Biden’s first State of the Union address, staying away from the Capitol in an undisclosed and secure location during the president’s prime time remarks.
According to the National Constitution Center, the tradition of a designated survivor during the State of the Union speech began in the 1950s as a result of fears of a nuclear attack during the Cold War. But the federal government did not publicly name the designated survivor until 1981, when President Ronald Reagan’s Education Secretary Terrel Bell assumed the designation for an address to a joint session of Congress.
The presidential line of succession is outlined in the Presidential Succession Act of 1792, which was updated during the Truman administration in the Presidential Succession Act of 1947. The updated line of succession was spurred by President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s death in 1945, which led to Harry Truman’s assumption to the highest office.
After the vice president, the speaker of the House, the Senate president pro tempore, and the secretaries of State, Treasury and Defense are next in the line of succession. Data analyzed by CNN shows that the attorney general, seventh in the line of succession, has been the highest-ranking Cabinet member known to have been appointed to be designated survivor. A Justice Department head has been selected for the role three times. //
Who has been the ‘designated survivor’?
One member of the president's Cabinet is chosen to remain absent from the State of the Union address to ensure continuity of government in the case of a mass-casualty event. The vice president and both houses of Congress are typically in attendance, so the designee is chosen from further down the presidential line of succession. Since the 1980s, the selection has been made public.
Note: There was no designated survivor in 2021. Attendance was limited due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
This is a head scratcher. Well, not really, but one wonders who is paying whom, or who is threatening whom, in order to keep this particular circus stocked with monkeys.
As a conservative, running into other folks who seem well informed on Constitutional issues and who support common sense governmental polices and limited Federal power, is a pleasure. Finding out that they also believe whacked out conspiracy theories on no evidence, and yet they are not willing to publicly oppose those crimes despite believing that the crimes are a deadly threat to millions of Americans, is disheartening. We know that leftists are willing to engage in any tactic to try to implement their agenda, including discarding the Constitution, engaging in widespread violence in the streets, illegally censoring conservative thought, and stealing elections with voter fraud. What will it take to get many average conservatives to focus on those very real threats rather than wasting their time fretting about a non-existent global conspiracy to poison the world? //
Whereas left wingers get violent when they lose an election or a judicial decision, and take to the streets to push their demands, conservatives seem to see every defeat as a confirmation of the inevitability of defeat for conservative American values and policies. If Americans will not stand up and expose oppose a global conspiracy to kill us all, it would be a fool’s bet to assume that they will energetically and effectively oppose a corrupt Democrat party as it tries to impose socialism on this country. Conservatives should be better than that. //

I have no idea what chemtrails or contrails are. I’m talking about the left and Democrats sowing confusion amongst the population in general and conservative specifically to hide their dirty deeds. Let’s stay focused on them. They are evil and are destroying our once great country.
Last week, I hosted a two-day workshop on reimagining democracy.
The idea was to bring together people from a variety of disciplines who are all thinking about different aspects of democracy, less from a “what we need to do today” perspective and more from a blue-sky future perspective. My remit to the participants was this:
The idea is to start from scratch, to pretend we’re forming a new country and don’t have any precedent to deal with. And that we don’t have any unique interests to perturb our thinking. The modern representative democracy was the best form of government mid-eighteenth century politicians technology could invent. The twenty-first century is a very different place technically, scientifically, and philosophically. What could democracy look like if it were reinvented today? Would it even be democracy—what comes after democracy?
The Republican Party is filled with grifter consultants, who make sure that they get their checks cleared before they’re worried about whether or not somebody wins. The GOP will not have any meaningful success until they can get rid of a consultant class that is more focused on the paycheck than victory.
The Democrats are in it to win it. The Republicans are in it to get paid. //

Here's the process by which the consulting class loses elections for us, sports fans:
1) Individual files to run for statewide or federal office.
2) Individual starts raising money only to find out that, with rare exceptions, there aren't enough small donors to fund campaign.
3) Individual reaches out to national and state party organizations who inform them they will support them but...
4) they must use their fundraisers/media gurus/direct mail consultants/senior campaign staff and...
5) therefore, must never actually stand for anything remotely "deplorable" lest they make waves and embarrass said donor/consulting class while...
6) they funnel millions upon millions of dollars into the pockets of the DC beltway connected consultant wh*res who don't give a rat's posterior about our country, our Constitution or our freedoms.
If you think it sounds ugly and disgusting, once you've seen it up close and personal, you'll realize how nauseating it really is.

“Republicans are a small government group with leanings toward capitalist economics..” No they are not. Deficit spending – Republican. New federal agencies? Republican. Destruction of habeas corpus? You guessed.
Mini Refresher Course partial list: Herbert Hoover increased federal spending 38%, passed the Agricultural Marketing Act (welfare for farmers) and the Reconstruction Finance Corporation (pork and corporate welfare) as well as increased taxes.
Eisenhower: Increased federal spending 30 percent, Created Department of Health, Education, & Welfare (and spending), Started American involvement in Vietnam, Created NASA
Richard Nixon: Increased federal spending 70 percent, Created EPA, OSHA, and CPSC, Imposed price and wage controls, Made your 1968 dollar worth just 78 cents by the time he left office.
Gerald Ford: decreased the value of the dollar by 8 cents while increasing federal spending.
George Herbert Walker Bush: Increased federal spending 12 percent, Managed to knock 13 cents off the value of your dollar in just four years, he was kind of like Obama’s “you can keep your doctor” with his “no new taxes”.
GW Bush: Expanded the size of government with the Department of Homeland Security, increased federal spending by 48.6 percent and shot habeas corpus to heck. And let us not forget how he ignored the warning signs, from the FBI no less, of 911 and then involved us in a unprovoked attack of a sovereign state. What is the difference between a Republican and a Democrat? You know the answer.

SNCF, the French national railroad, was among bullet train operators from Europe and Japan that came to California in the early 2000s with hopes of getting a contract to help develop the system.
But SNCF backed out in 2011. Executives saw cronyism and political potholes everywhere. Instead, SNCF went to Morocco. Within six years it had completed Morocco’s bullet train line. They didn’t return to California, nor would it ever. There is too much waste and indecision in California. //
SNCF recommended a direct line from LA to San Francisco. That made sense and it is clear that is what the bond issuance was for. The politicians said no.
An LA County Supervisor wanted the train to run through his district which included the upper Mojave desert, and the city of Palmdale. For those unfamiliar with Southern California that change required a northern jag of an added 41 miles of extra line. //
Imagine my excitement when Newsom announced that California will mandate electric cars. Somehow the state will completely rebuild its electric grid in twelve years. It took the state twenty years(!) to rebuild the Bay Bridge after the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake.
Back in my parents’ day, which saw them in their childhood fighting the Great Depression and in their teen/young adult years fighting World War II, politics was as much a rough-and-tumble bare-knuckled business as is presently the case. However, there was one noticeable difference between then and now. Those in Washington and various state capitals/local power centers/etc. would and did fight like terriers from 9 to 5. Yet after work, they would go out together for drinks and socialization, setting aside political differences in favor of what was more important. Namely, being human beings who are able to treat each other in the same manner they wish to be treated.
Alas, this went away when Saul Alinsky became the Democrats’ satanic patron saint. In our present era, actively practicing the politics of personal destruction has become the norm. Vicious direct attacks against any and all who dare to differ one iota from cherished beliefs, then squealing like a stuck pig crying “racism,” “sexism,” and whatever else you can come up with -ism (translation: petulant butthurt) whenever somebody breathes so much as a word against you or has the unmitigated gall to respond in the same brute impersonal manner that the original messenger put forth, is now standard operating procedure. Be it actual politicians or those who make discussing politics vocation or avocation; the same methodology. Snark for me, not for thee. //
Right now, we live in the locust days, days of insane inflation and unnamed recession; wars abroad and attempts to create wars at home. Such days can hover and smother for weeks, months, years, even decades, seemingly eating us alive. But they will end. We must not take the bait offered by those attempting to lure us into illegal conflict. Without compromising principles or policies, we must remember the other person is also a person of value, even as each of us is a person of value, not a thing to demolish. No one is beyond God’s reach. //
The locust days have descended upon us. We must choose whether to acquiesce and crumble … or ascend and conquer in Christ.
“This is how I’m praying,” Hibbs told Perkins. “Dear God, please expose the lies and falsehood that is tearing our nation apart. Reveal those; bring them to the surface. The Scripture says for us to expose wickedness. There’s no greater way than for God to do that. And so, I lean to Him to do that.”
“Secondly,” Hibbs continued, “pray that our leaders who know the truth stand up and speak up and use the God-given authority that they have inherited from the Lord as an elected official, to use that that opportunity rightly. And thirdly, I would say this: When we pray, we need to pray for God’s will to be done.”
Placing our nation in God’s hands risks receiving an answer we might not prefer. “You and I love the Constitution. We understand its origins, and how it honors God and honors the individual rights of every person,” Hibbs told Perkins. “But Tony, clearly, we have people in power today who do not believe in the Constitution, and this has been going on for a long time now. Is it possible, Tony, that we as believers are watching the death throes, as it were, of our republic? Lincoln made it very clear that we’re too strong to be destroyed from the outside, that if we’re ever going to be destroyed, it would be from within.”
“So, I’m praying, ‘Lord, expose the wickedness, but at the same time strengthen our leaders who are right with You. And Lord, please send revival to our nation,’” Hibbs summarized.
What separates us from the Third World in our politics, he opined, are the twin concepts of peaceful transfer of power via the ballot box rather than by military intervention and the unwritten and unspoken principle that victors do not use the police power of the state to punish the vanquished. Without the second concept, no sane person will ever relinquish office if they run the risk of ending up imprisoned or on the gallows. Once politics become a blood sport, he said, there is no way to stop the slide into rule by people with guns. //
Contrary to Goldberg, no one thinks former presidents are above the law. But just about everyone, except him and Williamson, are smart enough to realize when the prosecution is political and when it is criminal.
I don’t know how we back away from this ledge, and as the days go by, I care less and less whether we do or we don’t. I don’t think I’m alone.
In reality, Trump World is simply doing what Democrats always do – preparing to gut the bureaucracy and install your own people. The horrors!
