I don’t think anyone, right or left, really thinks Joe Biden can afford to hold Beijing to account for much of anything due to the degree to which he and his drug-addled, sex-addicted grifting son are compromised by China’s intelligence services. It is also difficult to believe that Navy leadership, which has to be at least as aware of the Navy’s ineptitude as the rest of us, didn’t give the Benfold orders to skedaddle when faced with Chinese pushback. The US Navy, indeed the US military, is simply not capable of carrying out a limited conflict to defend freedom of navigation in the South China Sea and protecting the territorial integrity of the nations in the region, including those of our allies. The Chinese know it. Our allies know it. Our military and political leadership know it. Maybe, eventually, the American people will wake up to just how poorly they are being served before too many young Americans have to die to make the point.
Yesterday, the American Association for Public Opinion Research released a report on polling for the 2020 election. It was pretty ugly. This is the key, in my view, finding.
- The 2020 polls featured polling error of an unusual magnitude: It was the highest in 40 years for the national popular vote and the highest in at least 20 years for state-level estimates of the vote in presidential, senatorial, and gubernatorial contests.5 Among polls conducted in the final two weeks, the average error on the margin in either direction was 4.5 points for national popular vote polls and 5.1 points for state-level presidential polls.
- The polling error was much more likely to favor Biden over Trump. Among polls conducted in the last two weeks before the election, the average signed error on the vote margin was too favorable for Biden by 3.9 percentage points in the national polls and by 4.3 percentage points in statewide presidential polls. //
This is some great analytical jujitsu. What this guy is saying is, “We were wrong four years ago because we underestimated the number of uneducated rubes who would vote for Trump and we fixed that problem. As a result our 2020 results were worse than our 2016. But we’re really sure than its Republicans screwing around with the hard science of polling.” //
So, let’s recap. Polls favored Democrats regardless of the method used. Polls favored Democrats across most of the polling industry, no matter the modeling used by the analysts. The polls went the same direction in very similar amounts. The best reasons they can come up with is that Republicans aren’t participating because President Trump said mean things about them OR they are interviewing in great numbers Republicans who are not representative of the Republicans who turn out to vote… //
I think there is an easier explanation for what happened that doesn’t involve the entire polling industry’s failure to discover a key segment of GOP/conservative voters. The polls were conducted to drive a media narrative that America was appalled with Trump and with the GOP, and the Democrats were going to win big up and down the ticket. The polls provided the hook for “news” stories and fodder for talk shows. The idea was to create an air of inevitability about a Biden win. What they did not factor in was the anger of the conservative base and the degree to which millions of Americans felt that President Trump stood up for them and repaid that perceived loyalty by voting for him.
If Joe Biden were trying to injure our energy position in relation to the rest of the world, in particular Russia, he couldn’t have done too much more to be destructive than what he’s already done. //

Jen Psaki attributes a 40% increase in gas prices to seasonal fluctuations: //
But Joe Biden has no sense. His solution? Ask OPEC to pump more oil, so the prices don’t go up more. So, he’ll ask them to pump more while he’s cutting our own production ability. As the Wall Street Journal phrased it, “As cognitive dissonance goes, this is a classic.”
We truly have gone back to the Seventies, with a Democrat trying to make us dependent once again, after President Donald Trump had built our energy independence. //

Biden wants OPEC to produce more oil while his regime tries to shut down U.S. oil and natural gas production.
If Joe actually cared about good jobs and lowering gas prices, he’d support American energy dominance! //
Brian Sullivan
@SullyCNBC
Lost in the OPEC story is that the market is scared 400,000 new barrels per day won't be coming online.
3 years ago US producers were pumping 2 million more barrels per day than right now.
OPEC back in drivers seat.
One of the first acts of the new Biden Administration is cancelling the permits for the Keystone XL Pipeline, a project of Canadian energy giant TC Energy that would have moved 800,000 barrels per day of heavy crude from Alberta to Cushing, OK, providing easier access to Gulf Coast refineries. The project was originally killed in the Obama Administration due to State Department objections, later to be revived and fast-tracked by President Trump. Cancelling the project, well into its construction, will cost 11,000 union construction jobs, the ongoing pipeline jobs and revenues, and $2 billion of future investment. //
HISTORICAL NOTE: Joe Biden is a long-standing opponent of domestic energy infrastructure. In 1973, a deadlocked Senate nearly blocked the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, sorely needed in reaction to the first OPEC embargo. Biden, then a back-bencher, joined the opposition. Vice-President Spiro Agnew broke the Senate’s tie vote, and the pipeline went in service in 1977. Sixteen billion barrels later, America remains free of OPEC domination, thanks in part to the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. The boon to the economy, foreign policy, and the State of Alaska has been immeasurable.
From NY Post:
To qualify under the bill, an applicant or his farm needn’t have experienced racial discrimination. There is not even a requirement that the applicant have suffered any direct economic loss due to the lockdowns. Skin color is the most important consideration.
Those who qualify are eligible for up to 120 percent debt relief on their farm loan through the Farm Service Agency. You might notice that 120 percent is higher than 100 percent. Yes, the bill offers a windfall to many farmers who might never have personally suffered discrimination in the course of their agricultural business or any serious financial damage from COVID-19. //
“The Court finds that Plaintiff has shown a substantial likelihood that he will prevail on his claim that Section 1005 violates his right to equal protection under the law,” the decision states. “Absent action by the Court, socially disadvantaged farmers will obtain debt relief, while Plaintiff will suffer the irreparable harm of being excluded from that program solely on the basis of his race.”
Do you know what happens when you raise taxes by almost $100 billion on oil and gas companies while we are already in the midst of a cost explosion? The price of energy, whether gasoline or electricity, skyrockets even more. Does that sound like something that’s going to help out the middle class? And how exactly is that part of a “build back better” agenda? //
Ask yourself who uses the most gasoline in this country. The answer is truck drivers, construction workers, delivery drivers, home-health nurses, and a variety of other blue-collar professions. Meanwhile, those who use the least gasoline are wine-sipping liberals in urban enclaves that take the subway or ride a bike to work. In other words, what Biden is proposing is just another payoff to his chosen demographic of far-left ideologues. //

Let's break this down. So, he charges $90 billion to the gas companies. That amount would trickle down to consumers, and as mentioned in the above article, would mean the American people and the trucking industry, which would trickle down to food prices being basically unaffordable, which would trickle down to families needing to be on government assistance.
Got it.
Tuesday, Colorado Republican Lauren Boebert took to the floor of the House to excoriate Joe Biden and to put words into the Congressional Record that one never thought one would read.
Here’s her floor speech.
Madam speaker i want to begin this evening by thanking my democrat colleagues for their outstanding work and encouraging millions of Americans to celebrate their second amendment rights by purchasing their first, second, or even 100th firearm.
From the Left’s riots and cities across America to Biden’s threats to strip away our basic constitutional rights. Democrats are single-handedly responsible for the sale of tens of millions of firearms.
Bravo.
Well done and I hear that the interest has begun to pique when it comes to the sale of F-15s now.
I have some questions for these freedom haters. When are you going to call on the chief executive, the basement dweller, to hold his own son accountable for his gun crimes?
Hunter Biden lied on a federal firearms application which is punishable by up to 10 years and a $250,000 fine of which ten percent will not be going to the big guy. Rules for thee but not for my crackhead Parmesan smoking gun criminal son. What about the disposal of Hunter Biden’s gun in a back alley dumpster? And why was the Secret Service involved in locating this firearm? Can you just imagine for half a second if Donald Trump Jr was involved in firearms crimes and his dad ordered the Secret Service to cover it up? That’s just the start of the hypocrisy. Biden will call widely purchased firearms weapons of war but then he’ll tell you that you need an F-15 or a nuke to keep the federal government in check. He will target so-called merchants of death but celebrate the 600 abortion clinics across America.
This regime will encourage riots, defund the police and try to take away American’s right to self-defense. Madam Speaker, the American people are not on board with the Biden regime’s hypocritical gun grabbing. Instead they are buying guns at a record rate. So my colleagues from the other side, they can keep running their mouths and we will keep adding to our arsenals.
Thank you gentlemen. I yield back.
Who would have thought there would have been a connection between Hunter Biden (and therefore Joe) and Peter Daszak? This story continues to get more complicated.
The role she’s fulfilling on these visits is, in many ways, neither first lady nor professor but a key player in her husband’s administration, a West Wing surrogate and policy advocate. “An underestimated asset,” as Mary Jordan, the Washington Post reporter who’s written a book about Melania Trump, put it to me. “It’s hard to imagine Joe doing this without her.”
That’s a pretty big admission right there. Yes, she’s clearly more involved in running Joe than she should be, as even she appears to want people to think, despite the fact that she wasn’t elected for anything. If they’re trying to normalize that, no, it’s not normal, nor is it right.
“Welcome to El Paso, welcome to my community,” Escobar said, beaming. “To the new Ellis Island. To the capital of the border.” //
"The New Ellis Island." Democrats aren't even hiding it anymore. They're inviting people to come illegally and continuing the Biden administration trend of America Last. //
No, this situation isn’t Ellis Island. Ellis Island was how immigrants actually came legally to the East Coast at a point in our history. They had to go through a process with rules. They went through medical and legal checks to determine if they were acceptable, so you wouldn’t get known criminals or terrorists and that people coming in didn’t have any communicable diseases. Now people are flooding the border in such numbers, people encountered are often simply being released, during a pandemic, without any testing or any evaluation at all.
Plus, what is she saying to those illegal aliens and potential illegal aliens who might see those remarks? Hey, it’s great, come on in! What happened to discouraging people to enter illegally? The bottom line is this is really what they are about, not discouraging the illegality or cutting the flow. Escobar gives away the real game – Democrats think this is all just great. //
Mark Walker
@RepMarkWalker
Ellis Island denied criminals. The Biden-Harris border is enriching them.
After years of virtue signaling and fake outrage about the treatment of migrant children under the Trump administration, the press is now demonstrating that they never cared about them in the first place.
It turns out that at least one detention center in El Paso, TX is subjecting migrant children to conditions that are worse than being in prison. As of this writing, only two media outlets have bothered to give the issue any real attention.
BBC News reported that the children being kept at Fort Bliss are languishing in substandard living conditions. They are dealing with disease, unsafe food, and even sexual abuse.
Biden Threatens to Nuke Americans but Manages to Blow Up a Big Democrat Narrative Instead – RedState
If Biden and his party truly believe the government is so all-powerful that any possible rebellion would be put down with ease, then how does that square with their claims that our “democracy” was on the brink of destruction on January 6th because some unarmed people took selfies in Pelosi’s office? Either our system of government is so fragile that a dude in horns and facepaint can threaten its existence, or it’s so untouchable that the government would just nuke anyone who got within a mile of doing any harm to it. Which is it? Because it can’t be both.

"You don't need a gun because the government can destroy you" is the best case for the second amendment any president has ever made
New York Post columnist Miranda Devine ran a bombshell of a column late yesterday — an excerpt from her book to be published in September about the contents of Hunter’s laptop computer.
The title of the book is “Laptop from Hell: Hunter Biden, Big Tech, and the Dirty Secrets the President Tried to Hide.”
While the 46th president talked about grave unspecified threats to global peace, word seeped out of his administration that he was actually cutting – as in reducing — U.S. defense spending amid a ubiquitous panoply of threats.
It’s a familiar Democrat tactic, seizing funds from national defense spending to finance the freebies that Biden and his party are so fond of doling out. //
Here’s a chilling observation: “America is rapidly piling up debt past 100% of GDP while shrinking its defenses.” That will make it extremely difficult to compete in the future with authoritarian countries that might have aggressive intentions but no foible-filled Congress to address.
Take China, for instance. It now has more than 350 ships in its military fleet. The U.S. but 300. While the U.S. intends to retire nearly $3 billion in older ships to save money in coming months, China continues building apace.
It commissioned three new warships on the same day recently, a nuclear submarine and two for amphibious operations in the nearby South China Sea.
Since building new ships takes years of designing and construction, today’s decisions to cut back the Navy’s fleet and arsenal will determine American capabilities to counter any Chinese aggression in 10 years’ time.
By then, of course, the same crowd will be running China. Joe Biden will be long gone and the repercussions of any unpreparedness will be left for others to face.
Here is how Tucker Carlson describes that memo and their intentions:
“Because of January 6, says the chief law enforcement officer in the United States of America and many other members of Joe Biden’s cabinet, we must now use law enforcement and military force to arrest, imprison, and otherwise crush anyone who leads opposition to Joe Biden’s government. That’s their position. They say that out loud. They did today.”
Sorry, Democrats. I stand firm with the Trump supporters who attended the 6 Jan. rally and did not enter the Capitol and were simply exercising their constitutionally guaranteed right to political speech, as well as their support for President Trump. That the Democrats are doing their utmost to paint them/us all with the broad brush of being “domestic terrorists” is analogous to the Stasi condemning East Germans trying to escape to the freedoms and liberty in the West in the 1950s and 1960s as being “criminals” and “enemies of the Communist state.” I will gladly characterize myself as an “enemy of the Democrat/Communist state” that the Hologram and his minions are implementing, as well as a celebrator of the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights that they hate!
And by their perverted definition of the phrase “domestic terrorist,” and in memory of JFK’s memorable speech 58 years ago this month, I will gladly state that “Ich bin ein inländischer terroristischen”!

If anyone wants an example of the difference between the virtue of the United States and its role in the world compared with that of other nations, here you are.
The US military is big and powerful but a fully defensive force. Our enemies use their armies unprovoked and with naked aggression, to frighten and intimidate.
this is Putin’s first interview with a US news organization since 2018. He quit speaking in public during the Trump Administration because President Trump was not shy about responding bluntly and in public to things Putin said or did.
Now he’s taken the measure of the Biden Administration — and he’s happy for the change. He can “work with” Biden, and he’s free to speak out in public without fear of meaningful rebuke or repercussions from the feckless foreign policy team now in charge.
While Joe Biden’s legislative policies will have a lasting, damaging impact on the country, and already have in some cases (inflation caused by the massive COVID “relief” bill, for example), what’s not talked about much is his impact on the bureaucracies.
After all, that’s where the real power lies in our system. Elected officials are often just weak quasi-celebrities with little ability to propagate any real change. Meanwhile, a determined group of bureaucrats can make regulations, target their political enemies with state power, and generally enact massive societal change — and you won’t even know their names.
The Founders never intended for such a corrupt system to become the country’s standard procedure, but here we are, and Democrats are keen to take advantage of it. We saw what the often-called “deep state” was capable of during the Donald Trump era. Now, Biden is looking to super-size that effort, and it should terrify you. //

Biden’s “domestic terrorism” plan of attack. At least $100 million for “DOJ, FBI, and DHS to ensure that the Federal Government has the analysts, investigators, prosecutors, and other personnel and resources it needs to thwart domestic terrorism.” //
What is “domestic terrorism?” Well, it’s pretty much whatever a bunch of left-wing ideologues want it to be. And after Biden and his cohorts hire hundreds of new “analysts” from biased think-tanks and activist groups, what they will want it to be is Republicans of all shapes and sizes. //
Why are we needing to spend $100 million to combat “extremism” when other causes of violence are a far, far greater threat to the average American?
None of this makes sense until you realize it’s all political. White supremacy is a catch-all to target political adversaries of the left. The definition is always expanding, and when mixed with ideologies like critical race theory, suddenly every white Republican is a white supremacist by birth worthy of cracking down on. Heck, Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin is being called one by his own colleagues.
This doesn’t stop until these agencies are dismantled from top to bottom. That has to happen the next time a Republican becomes president. But what the country can’t handle right now is another influx of rabid ideologues into a bureaucracy that already has no credibility. Whatever can be done to stop this from happening must be done.
Biden likes to talk a big Catholic game when he’s campaigning, but like most Democrats, the moment power is achieved is the moment that Catholicism gets tossed out of the window. As a result, American bishops are going to have a meeting to discuss whether or not he should be denied Holy Communion. //
According to The Hill, the Vatican has already warned these bishops not to deny Biden communion over abortion.
“The concern in the Vatican is not to use access to the Eucharist as a political weapon,” Antonio Spadaro, Jesuit priest, and ally of the pope told the New York Times.
An argument can be made that it’s not being used as a weapon, so much as making sure that the church not punishing this actual act against Catholic teachings isn’t seen as a tacit endorsement. The church could lead on the issue by seeing to it that when the question is asked how the church feels about abortion, the answer is clear and present.
