History can repeat itself one of two ways here. Either we put Trump back in the White House, and he pulls us into another great economic ascension as he’s proven he can do like it’s second-nature, or we can put Biden back in the White House, where we’ll likely see economic stagnation, as our government, once again, invests in green energy bridges to nowhere.
If Trump really wants to sell his case to the American people, he needs to point this fact out, and point it out a lot. Biden has proven what his track record on economic recovery looks like, and it’s frightening. Meanwhile, Trump was doing so well, it’s a shame that the virus came along to stop his work. Where would we be right now if it hadn’t come?
We’ll find out if we vote him in again.
Vox.com’s Aaron Rupar is one of the left-wing website’s more prominent tweeters, frequently posting video snippets from President Trump’s speeches, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany’s press briefings, etc. in which he takes what they say out of context.
What’s especially bad about the way Rupar operates is that his bogus descriptions of what’s said in the clips are often retweeted uncritically by mainstream media journalists and Democratic politicians alike, who don’t bother to actually watch the videos or ask about context.
This is how fake news often spreads and goes viral. I’ve documented several instances here, of Rupar getting away with this cheap, dishonest tactic. But on Monday, Rupar posted a video and interpretation of a Trump quote that was so mangled and deceitful that even CNN fact-checker Daniel Dale took time out of his 24-7 Trump-bashing to call him out: //
Daniel Dale
@ddale8
For people retweeting without watching the full clip: this quote was not a Trump corruption admission. It was him being defensive about Biden outraising him - saying he COULD easily raise tons of money if he wanted to call up CEOs and make corrupt bargains, but he won’t do that. //
Daniel Dale
@ddale8
For those asking (@waltshaub), here's the full transcript of Trump's remarks about Exxon and fundraising. Again, the clip that's circulating has a misleading caption; Trump's point was that it compromises a president to make personal fundraising calls to big CEOs, so he won't.
The Daily Caller reached out to health officials in states that have been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic and conducted an analysis of publicly available health data. These officials confirmed that the number of coronavirus cases could not be “directly tied to campaign rallies.”
Progressives on Twitter had a collective meltdown when Katrina Pierson, a senior advisor to President Trump’s campaign, publicly thanked rapper and actor Ice Cube, whose real name is O’Shea Jackson, for his contribution to President Trump’s Platinum Plan, which is designed to promote economic growth in the black community. The artist, who has been a vocal critic of the president, has come under fire for giving his input on the plan even though he was rebuffed by the former Vice President Joe Biden’s team. //
On Wednesday, Ice Cube clarified his role in creating the Platinum Plan on Twitter, noting that both the GOP and the Democrats reached out to him about his Contract With Black America (CWBA), a document that he released on social media detailing his desires for government action. He indicated that while the Democrats promised they would address the plan after the election, Trump’s team was willing to sit down with him and use his input to craft their strategy. //
Ice Cube’s willingness to reach out to both parties instead of only the Democrats is a break from the norm when it comes to high-profile black Americans. The GOP’s failure to engage with the black community in a meaningful way has bred much distrust in the black community.
But it is still telling that Biden’s team refused to meet with Ice Cube. The reason why they did not take him seriously is apparent: They don’t have to. Since the Democratic Party hasn’t had real competition from the GOP for black votes in decades, they already know that they will win the vast majority of the black community’s support.
The upshot of this brief historical overview is that incumbent Presidents have rarely lost their re-election efforts, and whey they did the circumstances generally included poor economic conditions (Hoover, Carter, and Bush 41), combined with facing a very strong opponent (Hoover/Roosevelt, Carter/Reagan, Bush 41/Clinton).
We are currently facing very challenging economic times, but they are the result of external factors, not the policies of the Trump Administration. The economic policies of the Trump Administration produced some of the best economic times ever.
And Joe Biden is among the worst challenger ever to face-off against an incumbent President. He’s nowhere close to the political actors that Roosevelt, Reagan, and Clinton were.
While Pres. Trump is polarizing, he’s not unpopular in his own party the way Carter was, and to a lesser degree Pres. Bush 41. Pres. Trump did not face a challenge from inside his owner party like Carter did, not does have have to deal with a significant Third Party candidate like Pres. Bush 41 did.
Setting aside the hysteria caused by the political press, this election has none of the historical earmarks of prior re-election efforts where the incumbent lost.

“56% of Americans said that they are better off today than they were 4 years ago under the Obama-Biden administration. Why should they vote for you?”
Biden: Well if they think that, they probably shouldn’t //
Biden’s default is to insult the very people he claims to want to win over in this election cycle. That’s politically idiotic, which is why it’s so obvious that he simply can’t control himself. An inability to process and respond rationally is yet more evidence of his clear mental decline. No candidate in their right mind would tell 56% of the country to not vote for them, but Biden just did that because he can’t control himself, and we all know why.
Biden is not well. Period.
The Democrats have been attempting to sell the idea that Trump failed the coronavirus response and that there are so many dead here in America because he failed to act in a timely manner. This is, of course, a whopping falsehood. When Trump was closing off countries from the United States in order to limit the spread, Democrats were calling him xenophobic for doing so. In fact, it was Democrats who were out in the streets telling everyone to come out and not be afraid of the virus at all.
Now, the New York Times released a report citing experts who have “genuine confidence” that the pandemic will be over far faster than many anticipated and that Trump’s plan to combat the virus called “Operation Warp Speed” is “working with remarkable efficiency.”
New York Times Author Donald G. McNeil Jr. wrote of the optimism and good signs being seen in America. For instance, he notes that the U.S. is doing far better under the coronavirus than it did under the Spanish flu: //
How this will affect the campaigns is yet to be seen, but I can’t expect it to have a good effect on the Democrats who have been selling fear and pushing for lockdowns. Trump, who has been pushing for fearlessness and not being ruled by this virus, can only benefit. //

They're preparing for a Biden win. All the polls show Biden winning, so they need to make sure that the country sees itself on a good path to recovery in time for Biden to not have this monster hanging around his neck, claiming victory even, in the way they've hung it on the President's.

Oddly, I read it the opposite, way, as if they know Biden will lose so there's no point dragging out the Covid-scare any longer, because NYC is dying economically and they are based there. But you may be correct.

That has a good chance of being correct, too. They have to know that killing the economy did not help them: that Cloward-Piven can backfire. Plus Biden just announced today that anyone who actually thinks the economy has improved shouldn't vote for him then.
“Unlike their elders, who came up with fresh memories of civil rights activism, young folks aren’t willing to tolerate voting for the ‘lesser of two evils.’ They told us they would just as soon stay home,” said Sam Fulwood, a fellow at American University’s Center for Congressional and Presidential Studies….
“There is a level of disenfranchisement and disengagement,” he added. Woodbury also argued that some of Trump’s messages have resonated with younger Black voters in particular. In focus groups, according to Woodbury, younger Black voters often mention the criminal justice reform bill that the president signed into law, his support for increased funding for historically Black colleges and the low Black unemployment rate before the coronavirus outbreak.
“A lot of people have had their eyes opened to the importance of voting, with the death of George Floyd and the civil unrest, but they don’t believe Joe Biden would be the person who would really do anything different,” she said. “A lot of voters I talk to — the younger ones especially — aren’t just going to go out and vote for Biden because he says, ‘If you’re Black, you vote for me.’ ”
Stefan Niemann is a reporter for the Berlin-based ARD-Hauptstadstudio and based in Washington D.C, reporting on US politics.
“The chaos lamented by #Trump when it comes to delivery of #brief voting documents is there. – I’m not allowed to vote here. But 3 # ballot papers came to my #Washington address: PRE-tenant moved 5 years ago, landlord living in #PuertoRico and her deceased husband. # selection2020” //

Remember, @JoeBiden said mail in ballots weren’t corrupt.

German journalist living in the US (with no US voting rights) received multiple ballots in the mail.
Donald J. Trump has changed the presidency – forever.
They say there is a first time for everything and in the case of the Florida Police Chiefs Association’s recent endorsement of President Donald Trump, that is 100% true. What this means is another lost opportunity for Joe Biden to finally get one Police Association endorsement before election day. //
Florida GOP
@FloridaGOP
.@realDonaldTrump received the endorsement from the Florida Police Chiefs Association, which is the @floridachiefs first presidential endorsement ever, because he has demonstrated unwavering support for the brave men and women who risk their life to keep our communities safe. //
That this is the first EVER endorsement of The Florida Police Chiefs Association has to give you a heads up something is happening with those first responders on the front lines.
They must really believe that Donald Trump is better than Joe Biden for the country they serve and that should tell you all you need to know about the two main candidates on this year’s ballot.
Zogby poll showing that he has a 51% approval rating. That’s an important metric to hit, as Gallup has observed that historically, “all incumbents with an approval rating of 50% or higher have won reelection, and presidents with approval ratings much lower than 50% have lost.” //
So Gallup asked Americans between September 14-28 if they were better off now than they were four years ago and 56% said they were, even in the midst of a pandemic. The number was actually even higher in January before the virus at 61 percent.
% of Americans who say they are better off now than they were 4 years ago
Sept 2020: 56 percent
Dec 2012: 45 percent
Oct 2004: 47 percent
Oct 1992: 38 percent
July 1984: 44 percent
https://news.gallup.com/opinion/gallup/321650/gallup-election-2020-coverage.aspx
He’s 12 points higher than Reagan who won in a landslide in 1984 and 11 points higher than Obama in 2012 in that number. That should terrify the Democrats, especially when combined with Trump’s approval number.
The poll also asked, regardless of who they support, who did they think was going to win? A majority of Americans said Trump, by a lot, from 56 to 40 precent. //
The poll also found that while MSM polls were saying that Biden was leading, that more Americans agreed with Trump’s policy position than with that of Biden, 49 to 46 percent.
Laura Huhtasaari, an MEP and a member of the right-wing Finns Party, wrote to the Nobel Committee to nominate Trump for the 2021 prize “in recognition of his endeavors to end the era of endless wars, construct peace by encouraging conflicting parties for dialogue and negotiations, as well as underpin internal cohesion and stability of his country.” //
Huhtasaari said Trump has nearly completed a presidential term without involving the U.S. in a new foreign conflict, while withdrawing troops from Iraq and Afghanistan. She also cited the Abraham Accords -- peace deals between two Arab Gulf nations and Israel. //
“It is hard to imagine a president of the United States from the last decades, or a current head of state, who would deserve more the Committee’s recognition in 2021 than President Trump for his efforts to build peace in the world,” Huhtasaari writes. //
Trump was first nominated by a Norwegian Parliament member for his role in the peace deal between Israel and the United Arab Emirates. Days later, a Swedish Parliament member nominated Trump again for his role in a U.S.-brokered normalization deal between Serbia and Kosovo.
Last month, three members of the European Parliament submitted a resolution to call on the E.U. to nominate Trump for the prize.
Pence is right: Shale drilling for natural gas has cut C02 emissions. //
it’s worth highlighting a new Energy Information Administration report that shows how fracking and competitive energy markets have done more to reduce CO2 emissions over the last decade than government regulation and renewable subsidies. Vice President Mike Pence made this point on Wednesday night, and he’s right.
According to the report, energy-related CO2 emissions in the U.S. fell 2.8% last year as many utilities replaced coal and heating oil with less expensive natural gas. Hydraulic fracturing combined with horizontal drilling has unleashed a gusher of natural gas production in the Midwest and Southwest. As a result, natural gas prices have plunged, putting many coal plants out of business. //
CO2 emissions from coal declined by more than 50% from 2007 to 2019, the report notes, and by 15% in 2019 alone. Between 2016 and 2019 the share of electricity generated by natural gas rose to 38.1% from 33.7% and by non-carbon generation (including nuclear and hydropower) to 38.2% from 35.5%. Coal generation during this period plunged to 23.3% from 30.3%. //
Increasing power generation from natural gas has accounted for 60% of the country’s decline in CO2 emissions from electricity since 2010. The carbon intensity of the country’s energy declined at about the same rate during the first three years of the Trump Presidency as from 2009 to 2016. //
The International Energy Agency earlier this year reported that the U.S. “saw the largest decline in energy-related CO2 emissions in 2019 on a country basis” due to a 15% reduction in the use of coal for power generation and “US emissions are now down almost 1 Gt [gigatonne] from their peak in the year 2000, the largest absolute decline by any country over that period.”
To sum up: President Trump pulled out of the Paris Climate Accord and eased the Obama-Biden Administration’s economically destructive climate regulations, and the U.S. is still leading the world in CO2 reductions.
Brit Hume
@brithume
Mr. Trump pulled out of the Paris Climate Accord and eased Obama-Biden climate regulations, and the U.S. is still leading the world in CO2 reductions.
So you just marched to the White House because you understand to protect the lives of Black Americans and all Americans, you have to have your police support you. You have to have that. If the Left gains power, they’ll launch a nationwide crusade against law enforcement, and they’ve already done that, and you see them. They’re doing that at a level that nobody’s ever seen before.
We’re here today to deliver a united message to police officers all across our great land… every American, every race and color, we love you. Every race, color, creed, we support you. We honor you. It’s a dangerous profession. They’ve been doing an incredible job, and I just want to thank them on behalf of everybody here today, because that’s why we’re safe.
MSM is pitching a lot of polls that might suggest that Joe Biden was ahead. You even have a CNN poll claiming that Biden was up 16 points.
But even Biden himself poo pooed that poll and said don’t be taken in by that, get out and vote.
Which means that Biden knows that that’s nonsense, and it’s much closer.
As I previously wrote, Biden wouldn’t be sending folks to Nevada and New Hampshire if he wasn’t seeing things that indicated a problem in those two states which previously were thought to be sure blue in his corner. Biden wouldn’t be suddenly activating people on the ground to go out and knock on doors in ‘battleground states’ if he didn’t think he desperately needed to do it, after doing nothing no reaching out to voters on the ground in person since March.
The MSM polls often have some major flaws: oversampling of Democrats, failure to account for the
shy Trump vote and often using registered voters rather than likely voters.
There are a few things that show why Biden may be justifiably panicking, as Townhall observes.
President Trump should be on Rush’s show once a week from now until the election

@realDonaldTrump
MILLIONS getting to hear the president without a leftist journalist in the way.
At the Presidential Debate, the President asked Biden to say the words, "Law & Order", which he declined & turned back at him to tell white supremacists to stand down, which he did.
So why did America forget that Biden was the one who wouldn't say, "LAW & ORDER"?
I remember vividly the first time I saw this speech. Three thoughts raced through my head: 1. Since when does Trump talk like this?? 2. How is this the same man I’ve learned to hate?? 3. How the F have I not seen this before????? Kept rewinding, rewatching. ///
