There are a lot of music streaming services to choose from, and most of them have more similarities than differences, giving you access to a wide variety of songs for around $10 per month. But some options appeal more to people with specific interests, and companies continually roll out new features to fight for consumers’ attention.
Unlike Apple Music, Spotify also offers a free ad-supported option. Free users can stream songs on demand using Spotify’s desktop and web apps. Through the mobile app, free users can listen to playlists and stations, and stream a small, rotating selection of songs on-demand.
The two services use different types of compression when transmitting music, but according to Elias Arias, Consumer Reports' project leader for audio testing, listeners are unlikely to hear a difference.
“Casual listeners will probably be happy with the sound quality of either service,” Arias says. “If you’re a highly critical listener with top-notch equipment, you may want to try both to see which you prefer, or try a service that will stream uncompressed files, like Tidal.” //
Like most major streaming services, Spotify and Apple Music grant users access to a large library of music. Apple Music says it has 50 million songs, and Spotify says it offers a selection of more than 35 million songs. //
In most respects, Apple Music works just as well as Spotify. It has a few perks of its own, and it’s the obvious choice if you’re already locked into the Apple ecosystem.
But overall, I found Spotify to have a slight edge. It often works better on non-Apple devices and at least as well on Apple products—excluding the HomePod smart speaker.
For people who want a service that transitions seamlessly among devices, operates as a hub for music and podcasts, and consistently serves up fresh recommendations for tunes, Spotify may be the best bet.

«Introduction And Polonaise brillante In C Major For Cello And Piano Op. 3» by Frédéric Chopin
This applet allows you to design a bell tower with up to eight bells, and ring the bells using change ringing. I didn't know what that was, until very recently, so if my explanation of change ringing given below is not very accurate you know why.
You can edit the pitches of the bells, the sharpness of the hammer striking the bell, and the number of modes. The sounds of bells 1-2(B) are synthesized using physical modeling. Some technical details of the synthesis can be found here . No sounds have to be downloaded over the net to get the applet to play bells 1 and 2(B) but bell 3 uses sampled sounds, which amount to about 130K, compared to about 66K for the applet.
The number of "modes" is the number of vibration modes of each bell that are taken into account. Setting this to a large value gives a complex sound but takes more time to compute. Setting it to a low value makes the sound simpler, but computes faster. If you set it to one, you get sinusoidal sounds.
You can chose between two bells, called Bell 1 and Bell 2, 2B or "Sample". The original sounds were analyzed and a model based on those sounds was made. I found the original sounds on the web at http://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/multimedia/sun-sounds/sound_effects (Bell 1, towerclock.au) and http://www.angelfire.com/ca/jamtt/sounds.htm (Bell 2(B), bell.wav). You can hear the original by clicking on the words "Bell" in the first sentence of this paragraph.

Andante cantabile ed espressivo aus der Cellosonate Nr. 1 g-moll op. 59
Camillo Schumann
From his compositions and children to the pronunciation of his name, here’s everything you need to know about the great composer Johann Sebastian Bach.
Johann Sebastian Bach's stature as a composer of such extraordinary genius and widespread influence is so firmly established in Western culture that it is difficult to imagine that only a little over a century-and-a-half ago, his music and reputation languished in obscurity, virtually unknown to all but a few specialists. It was through Mendelssohn's recognition of Bach's genius and his efforts in making Bach's works accessible to a wider public that these works are today recognized as summits of musical expression.
On October 3 2019, Mary Katrantzou presented her spring and summer collection fashion designs for 2020 at a very unique location: the impressive ancient Greek temple of Poseidon, in Sounio, just south of Athens, Greece. The event functioned as a fund raised for the Elpida foundation, for whom Vangelis had already performed charity concerts, including the original Mythodea performance in 1993. The Elpida Foundation, founded by Marianna Vardinoyannis in 1990 aims to help and support children suffering from cancer, as well as their families.
For this occasion, Vangelis created a score of completely new music, composed and recorded specifically for this event. He had also supplied the music for Mary's show at the London Fashion week in September 2018, but on that occasion largely recompiled and re-edited music from some of his albums from the 1980's, with some minimal additional new music. For the 2019 show at the Temple of Poseidon, Vangelis composed 8 new tracks, a good 35 minutes of brand new music. Some of those tracks were then expanded to longer versions to fit their use in the show.

New Vangelis music for Mary Katrantzou's Spring Summer 2020 show
Sources close to Vangelis confirm that he has composed original new music for tonight's presentation of Mary Katrantzou's Spring Summer collection for 2020 at the Temple Of Posseidon at Sounio, just south of Athens, Greece. The spectacular location is an absolute first for any fashion show, which is doubles as a charity fundraiser for the Elpida foundation. All proceeds of the evening will be donated to the Marianna Vardinoyannis’ Association of Friends of Children with cancer. //
