The more Rep. Devin Nunes was attacked, the more he wanted to understand what was behind the Russia collusion narrative. His opponents couldn't have been more wrong in how to contain him.
“This is not about airing your grievances,” Peters pushed back. “I don’t know what rabbit hole you’re going down.”
Johnson blasted Peters for his denial, where a shouting match ensued.
“You talked about Russian disinformation,” Johnson repeated, before moving on to grant Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul the floor.
Johnson’s Wednesday lecture comes as the committee opened up a hearing to consider the voting irregularities that took place in the recent November election which featured record turnout in the form of mail-in voting.
Sen. Paul called for hearings that included state lawmakers to shore up security in subsequent elections and criticized those dismissing claims of voter fraud entirely.
“We can’t just say it didn’t happen,” Paul said at the hearing with the nation’s former cybersecurity chief Christopher Krebs. “The fraud happened. The election in many ways was stolen, and the only way it will be fixed is by in the future reinforcing the laws.”
Missouri Republican Sen. Josh Hawley complained that after four years of non-stop accusations by Democrats that President Donald Trump was an agent of the Russian government, they had the audacity to condemn Republicans investigating pandemic irregularities at the ballot box.
“The whole Russia nonsense was based on we now know lies from a Russian spy,” Hawley said. “After four years of that, being told that the last election was fake and that Donald Trump wasn’t really elected and that Russia intervened, after four years of that, now these same people are told you just sit down and shut up. If you have any concerns about election integrity, you’re a ‘nut case’… That is not a recipe for success in this country.”
The IG report also establishes that the fourth sub-investigation of General Flynn was opened six days after the others — on August 16, 2016, the day after the meeting in Andy McCabe’s office.
Agent Barnett’s 302 says he was the Case Agent for both the Manafort investigation and the Flynn investigation. But then he also says the following:
From September 2016 to November 2016, Barnett advised that very little was being done on the Razor investigation.
As noted in the bolded language above in Lisa Page’s comments to Rachel Maddow, the “insurance policy” was needed in case candidate Trump won the election and some member of his campaign associated with Russia would then have access to classified information. It seems pretty clear that the reference about an “insurance policy” is a reference to having something to do with a person in the campaign who might go into the Administration if Trump won. A decision to open a new investigation was made earlier that day in the meeting with McCabe, the next morning Crossfire Razor was opened with Gen. Flynn as the target.
Judge Sullivan has granted the DOJ Motion to Dismiss as Moot (due to pardon).
Sullivan: "ORDERED that this case is DISMISSED AS MOOT."
Accompanying Judge Sullivan's order is a spiteful opinion supportive of the broader Crossfire Hurricane and Flynn investigations.
He labels the DOJ dismissal as "pretextual" and "dubious" //
Regardless, this saga is over for Flynn. He’s been nearly bankrupted, smeared, called a traitor, and had his life ruined, but at least he has his freedom. That such an investigation could go forth, and that a judge could behave this way without any repercussions will just continue to encourage more of the same. No one in the swamp ever pays a price.

BREAKING: It's Black Friday....for @carterwpage
The former Trump campaign advisor dropped a huge lawsuit and it names virtually all the Obama administration folks involved who we have come to know – James Comey, Lisa Page, Peter Strzok, Andrew McCabe and others over his treatment by them. The complaint “seeks relief herein for Defendants’ multiple violations of his Constitutional and other legal rights in connection with unlawful surveillance and investigation of him by the United States Government” and asks for no less than $75 million. according to the Washington Examiner.

It is my Great Honor to announce that General Michael T. Flynn has been granted a Full Pardon. Congratulations to @GenFlynn and his wonderful family, I know you will now have a truly fantastic Thanksgiving! //
This puts a final end to a four-year persecution of a man who has devoted his life to the service of his nation and whose innovations in the use of intelligence operational planning saved untold U.S. lives in Iraq, Afghanistan, and elsewhere.
Flynn was targeted by the FBI for an sketchy interview that has since been documented as a ruse to create a lie to catch him in. The persecution was picked up by the noxious thugs on Mueller’s team that used the threat of indicting Flynn’s son as a pressure point to force him into a guilty plea. When the truth started to be revealed, thanks to the efforts of Sidney Powell, a highly partisan judge, Emmitt Sullivan, took up the prosecution of Flynn as a personal hobby after Department of Justice dropped the charges against him.

A source familiar with Durham’s ongoing investigation of the bogus Russian collusion operation tells @FDRLST: “Durham isn’t doing anything. Dropping his investigations. He’s worried about blowback from Biden. What an absolute disgrace.”
A separate source who has seen the evidence compiled during the course of Durham's investigation told @FDRLST this afternoon that there's "more than enough evidence to indict multiple" involved in the Russian collusion hoax operation to take down Trump. //
Keep in mind that Durham had a near open and shut case against Andrew McCabe, who had admitted multiple times to having lied to the FBI. Instead of pursing that, the DOJ decided not to prosecute. They also failed to act on a criminal referral of James Comey. In the end, the bureaucracy made sure to protect the bureaucracy. This was always about saving face for these agencies, not actually seeking justice.
For many of us this isn’t a surprise.
“This disinformation campaign has done its job.”
Journalist and former CEO of The Intercept, Glenn Greenwald launched a well-deserved scorched-earth attack against CNN and other media outlets, top Democrat lawmakers, principally “shameless pathological liar” Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), and current and former members of the intelligence community, for dismissing as “Russian propaganda” the Hunter Biden laptop controversy in the days leading up to the presidential election.
In a piece published on Substack on Thursday, as reported by Fox News, Greenwald began by skewering the “shameless pathological liar,” noting that when Schiff’s mouth is moving, he’s lying. //
“As I noted when I announced my resignation from The Intercept, a major reason I harbored so much cynicism and scorn for their claim that my story on the Hunter Biden emails had failed to meet their high-minded, rigorous editorial and fact-checking scrutiny was because that same publication was just was one of the many anti-Trump news outlets which, in the name of manipulating the outcome of the election on behalf of the Democratic Party, had mindlessly laundered the CIA/Schiff narrative without the slightest adversarial skepticism or, worse, without a whiff of evidence.”
Hunter Biden's laptop was given to the FBI in 2019 from a Delaware repair shop
On Friday it emerged that a second laptop was obtained by the US government
They seized the laptop in a February raid on the office of a Massachusetts doctor
It was unclear why Hunter Biden's laptop was in the office
Hunter's lawyer later managed to secure the return of the laptop to his client
Sullivan’s apparent animus toward Flynn's attorney and his fixation on Flynn being punished demonstrate bias in this case — sufficient to require his disqualification.
What I do know is that we are well beyond the point of assuming that the FBI and CIA are not carrying out black bag jobs on politicians and media they oppose or who they find to be in their way. In the words of Ian Fleming, “Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. The third time it’s enemy action.” Given the events of the last four years, we are far removed from crediting coincidence for much of anything.
Last night’s interview of Tony Bobulinski on Tucker Carlson’s show (see Former Biden Family Business Partner Lays Waste To the Biden Family Legacy In Interview With Tucker Carlson) should have removed any doubt that a) the correspondence discovered in Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop was legitimate and b) that it revealed what can only be described as an on-going and multi-year criminal conspiracy. //
The Bobulinski interview made it clear that Joe Biden was a knowing and willing participant in the various scams in which Hunter Biden was a central figure. The interview makes it clear that the byword was “plausible deniability” to protect Joe. //
This is a Joe Biden issue. Hunter is a sockpuppet. We need to treat it as such.
“Tony Bobulinski: ‘If he doesn’t come out on record I am providing the facts.’
Rob Walker: ‘Tony. You’re just gonna bury all of us man.’”
Carlson asked Bobulinski how he responded to Walker’s plea. “I was focused on pushing these guys to do the right thing, to demonstrate an ounce of integrity in front of the American people,” he answered. “They all know the facts; I lived the facts. And luckily for the American people, all the facts are extremely well documented.”
Tucker Carlson
@TuckerCarlson
Hunter Biden's ex-business partner Tony Bobulinski: "I remember looking at Jim Biden and saying how are you guys getting away with this? Aren't you concerned? He looked at me, and he laughed a little bit, and said 'PLAUSIBLE DENIABILITY.'"
Bobulinski was supposed to be the guy who washes everything clean and keeps the money flowing in a nondescript direction. Accusing him of being a Russian agent was a bridge too far, though, and now all of this is out in the open because he chose not to sit idly by and be smeared. The Bidens can send Adam Schiff a nice thank you letter for that campaign contribution.
On December 6, 2015, Joe Biden ordered Ukraine President Petr Poroshenko to fire Ukraine Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin, threatening to withhold $1 billion in US aid to the Poroshenko government if he did not do so.
Newly revealed evidence taken from Hunter Biden’s laptop, in the form of an email dated November 2, 2015, from Vadym Pozharskyi to Devon Archer and Hunter Biden at their Rosemont Seneca Partners email addresses shows, unequivocally, that Burisma’s purpose in placing them both on the Board of Directors, and hiring Blue Star Strategies, a Washington DC PR firm, in November 2015, was to influence United States and Ukrainian government policies for the benefit of Burisma and its exiled owner, Nikolay Zlochevskyi. It was Zlochevskyi, a Ukraine oligarch, who was paying Archer and Biden a reported $83,000 a month — each — to serve on the Bursima Board.
Joe Biden exercised incredibly poor judgement, placing a highly classified counterintelligence operation at risk, and undermined the incoming administration. //
A recently leaked phone call between then-Vice President Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko directly after the 2016 presidential election shows that Biden sought to sabotage the incoming Trump administration before Donald Trump even took office, and much worse.
During the course of the call, Biden badmouthed the incoming administration, saying, “The truth of the matter is that the incoming administration doesn’t know a great deal about [Ukraine]” and that they were unprepared for the transition. This in itself is inappropriate, but it was meant to set the stage for Biden’s next statement and future plans.
Biden then told Poroshenko, “I don’t plan on going away. As a private citizen, I plan on staying deeply engaged in the endeavor that you have begun and we have begun.” In a matter of moments, Biden undermined the incoming administration, branded them as not knowing anything about Ukraine, and attempted to set up a foreign policy backchannel for himself after he left office as a private citizen, which could violate the Logan Act.
Now Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe has spoken on the burgeoning scandal that, if we had a free and unbiased press, would have driven Joe Biden from the campaign already:
Don't drag the intelligence community into this....Hunter Biden's laptop IS NOT part of some Russian disinformation campaign"
@DNI_Ratcliffe on Adam Schiff's weekend lying //
It isn’t very often that a cabinet secretary calls the chairman of his own oversight committee a boldfaced liar.
This is about as definitive a statement on the emails being Russian disinformation as one can get.
