There is a reason why Keanu Reeves is one of the most well-liked actors in Hollywood. Unlike many others in his position, the entertainer has established a reputation as an all-around nice guy who has refused to let his fame go to his head.
A recent LAD Bible report revealed he donated about 70 percent of his salary from “The Matrix” movies to leukemia research after his sister was diagnosed with the disease. “Keanu put his life on hold as he became her carer, which saw the Matrix sequels delayed and Keanu sell his house so he could move closer to her and look after her,” according to the news outlet.
A studio’s first concern when bringing something from the past into the present is to listen to what the fans have to say about it. They won’t please everyone, but it’ll at least give them a very good starting point to build off from. These are the people who know this property better than anyone else. You don’t go jumping out of planes without experts first showing you the ins and outs, and you don’t recreate properties without the experts doing the same.
Calling fans “toxic” or other deriding labels is a surefire way to have your recreation live in infamy and eventually forgotten. Studios need the fans more than they know. They’re the ones with all the passion for the project.
Chris Pratt is, once again, getting dragged on social media by people who seem to have nothing better to do than get angry about things. I say “once again” because bashing Pratt seems to be an occurrence that happens once a month. It doesn’t take much to get the internet outrage machine going for Pratt.
The foaming at the mouth over Pratt has everything to do with the Guardians of the Galaxy star being everything the hard-left disapproves of. He openly worships Christ, runs a farm, and lives off the land. He promotes appreciation for our troops and teaches his children to respect and cherish America.
These facts alone make him a target for ridicule, hatred, and cancelation. As I write this, Pratt is trending on Twitter with the floodgates of hatred opened.
Apatow is one of the few critical of China. //
Apatow continued by saying it’s not just a question of knowing if it’s okay to see a joke or not. Now it’s an entire lockdown on certain subject matters, specifically human rights abuses by China.
“Hey, I want to write a movie about the concentration camps in China and Muslims in concentration camps. I want to write a movie about someone who escapes,” said Apatow giving an example.
“No one would buy the pitch,” he said. “Instead of us doing business with China and that leading to China becoming more free, what has happened is a place like China has bought our silence with their money.” //
Hollywood’s obedience to China, and even that of sports leagues like the NBA, prove that all their talk of equality and goodness is just that…talk. When the rubber meets the road, Hollywood is fully ready to toss all of their signaled virtues into the wood chipper. Money means more than principles.
On June 24th, Hollywood megastar Denzel Washington recalled something you rarely if ever hear mentioned by Tinseltown royalty: the moment he dedicated his life to Jesus.
As reported by The Daily Wire, in an Instagram Live session with Pastor A.R. Bernard of the Christian Culture Center, Denzel told the minister he was frightened when he surrendered to Christ amid being filled with the Holy Spirit.
There aren’t many like Denzel. Despite being one of the biggest stars in the world, the lifelong advocate for the Boys and Girls Club has been married to the same woman since 1983. //
And among cinema’s elite, few are the voices in agreement with his faith.
But there are some — like Chris Pratt, who gave the following Thank You speech upon receiving his 2018 MTV Generation Award:
“God is real. God loves you. God wants the best for you. Believe that. I do. … Learn to pray. It’s easy, and it’s so good for your soul. … Nobody is perfect. People are gonna tell you you’re perfect just the way you are. You’re not. You are imperfect. You always will be. But there is a powerful force that designed you that way. And if you’re willing to accept that, you will have grace. And grace is a gift. And like the freedom that we enjoy in this country, that grace was paid for by somebody else’s blood. Do not forget it.”
From the Golden Globes to 'Mulan,' the foreshocks of a fight over Hollywood's cozy relationship with China are trembling beneath our feet.
