Seventh Circuit Turns Back Challenge to Indiana Election Law on Voting by Absentee Ballot

In affirming the decision of the District Court, the Seventh Circuit characterized the issue as follows:

These claims hinge on one question: what is “the right to vote”? In McDonald v. Board of Election Commissioners of Chicago, the Supreme Court told us that the fundamental right to vote does not extend to a claimed right to cast an absentee ballot by mail…. And unless a state’s actions make it harder to cast a ballot at all, the right to vote is not at stake…. Considering that definition, Indiana’s absentee-voting regime does not affect Plaintiffs’ right to vote and does not violate the Constitution. In the upcoming election, all Hoosiers, including Plaintiffs, can vote on election day, or during the early-voting period, at polling places all over Indiana. The court recognizes the difficulties that might accompany in-person voting during this time. But Indiana’s absentee-voting laws are not to blame. It’s the pandemic, not the State, that might affect Plaintiffs’ determination to cast a ballot.

Scientists: Nuclear Energy is a Waste of Time

Scientists: Nuclear Energy is a Waste of Time
Dan Robitzski in Earth & Energy
According to new research, investing in nuclear power doesn't tend to lead to a drop in greenhouse gas emissions like using renewables does.

Status Quo
It turns out that nuclear energy, which advocates say is a more feasible means of transitioning away from fossil fuels than solar or wind, might not actually be up to the task.

That’s according to research published Monday in the journal Nature Energy, which shows that countries that adopted nuclear energy didn’t actually reduce their carbon emissions a significant amount — but that countries with renewable energy investments did. It’s a compelling case that clean energy initiatives ought to focus on solar and wind, and perhaps skip nuclear as a stepping stone on the road to decarbonization. //

“This paper exposes the irrationality of arguing for nuclear investment based on a ‘do everything’ argument,” study coauthor Andy Stirling said in a press release.

No Matter How Badly They Want to, Marxists Can’t Change the Definition of Racism

The current idea floating around the social justice circles is that the concept of racism isn’t as simple as a person acting in a prejudicial manner toward another simply becuse of the color of his or skin.

According to the SJWs who adhere to critical race theory, what we call racism is now racial prejudice plus power. In other words, the race that holds all the power in a specified system is racist when it practices prejudice toward another race within the system that does not hold power. The flipside is that if a race that isn’t considered the dominating power practices racial prejudice toward the controlling power, it can’t be considered “racism.”

Bottom line, only white people can be guilty of racism. If you’re black, you can be openly racist toward white people all day and you wouldn’t be considered a racist for doing so.

If it sounds like a stupid concept, it’s because it is.

The Real Reason They Hated Trump’s Balcony Moment

The balcony was a moment that the left feared and for good reason. They should still fear it. It’s proof that we’re still America and that we’re in charge of our own destinies, not them.

John Brennan Digs the Hole Deeper With Transparently False — and Unhelpful — Explanations for His Notes

In going down this path Brennan has offered up the argument that it was, IN FACT, true that the Clinton campaign was behind the leaks and whisper campaign that DROVE the Crossfire Hurricane investigation begun on the thinnest of thin reeds of the pub talk between Amb. Downer and Papadopolous.

Brennan’s “even if it was true” rationalization pins the blame for everything known as “Crossfire Hurricane” — fertilized with the bullsh*t lies purchased from Christopher Steele — on Hillary Clinton, the Democrat party establishment in Congress, and the willing and complicit mainstream press.

Michelle Obama Tries to Convince Americans They Really Aren’t Seeing the Violent Riots They’re Seeing

Princeton University group studies 3 months of Black Lives Matter protests. Intent is to show they are 'overwhelmingly peaceful.' But report reveals nearly 570 violent demonstrations--riots--in nearly 220 locations spread all across country. http://ow.ly/wY4u50BiSDg

By any study over 91% of the riots were connected to the BLM.
