The IG report also establishes that the fourth sub-investigation of General Flynn was opened six days after the others — on August 16, 2016, the day after the meeting in Andy McCabe’s office.
Agent Barnett’s 302 says he was the Case Agent for both the Manafort investigation and the Flynn investigation. But then he also says the following:
From September 2016 to November 2016, Barnett advised that very little was being done on the Razor investigation.
As noted in the bolded language above in Lisa Page’s comments to Rachel Maddow, the “insurance policy” was needed in case candidate Trump won the election and some member of his campaign associated with Russia would then have access to classified information. It seems pretty clear that the reference about an “insurance policy” is a reference to having something to do with a person in the campaign who might go into the Administration if Trump won. A decision to open a new investigation was made earlier that day in the meeting with McCabe, the next morning Crossfire Razor was opened with Gen. Flynn as the target.
This hodgepodge of product-specific exemptions is the result of a process that is biased against tech users. Having to go to the Copyright Office every three years, hat in hand, to ask for permission to simply fix our stuff is infuriating. Congress thinks so, too, and Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.) has repeatedly introduced legislation that would grant a permanent exemption to Section 1201 for activities like repair that don’t otherwise violate copyright law. //
Microsoft and Sony are being irresponsible,” he told me. “It’s irresponsible that they make consoles with a part that could be easily replaced so difficult to [repair]. You could prevent all the waste once the drives go bad. We end up with all these boxes just recycled and trashed.”
The Mailredirect extension for Mozilla Thunderbird and SeaMonkey adds the ability to redirect one or more email messages to one or more recipients.
The feature of email redirecting is also known as remailing or resending.
This extension is an answer for bug #12916.
Who wants this extension?
In office environment there is sometimes a need to forward email with original headers to somebody else. If Forward or Edit as new command is used, headers are very different comparing to original message (other From, Message-Id, Date fields). If you use the Mailredirect Extension headers are not changed, so the recipient of redirected mail has almost the original message. In practice all important headers in redirected message are identical to original one (From, CC, Message-Id, Date).
People who are "sorting" incoming email messages to their company are the first users who would like to use the Mailredirect Extension.
I think every experienced email user will appreciate the Mailredirect Extension.
The issue of “standing” has well established legal “principles” that courts rely on at the outset of a case to determine whether the matter that is the subject of the complaint is properly brought in the court in which it is filed.
These principles arise out of the “case and controversy” requirements of Article III of the Constitution which are at the foundation of the federal civil justice system. In layman’s terms, it means that a federal court must sometimes make a decision as to whether the complaint concerns a real “claim” for which a judicial resolution and remedy is the only appropriate avenue for relief open to the plaintiff, and whether the plaintiff who has brought the claim is the correct party to do so. Does the plaintiff have a real and concrete interest in the outcome that is different from the interest of the public at large?
The decision on “standing” is a “judgment” based on the nature of the claim raised by the complaint, the nature of the plaintiff who has raised the claim, and the relationship of the plaintiff to the claim raised.
Also, and important to the Supreme Court, “standing” reflects respect for “separation of powers” by giving the judicial branch a basis to reject efforts to resolve disputes through the courts that are, in actuality, political disputes that should be left to the political branches to resolve. //
The language used by the Court yesterday was as follows:
“The State of Texas’s motion for leave to file a bill of complaint is denied for lack of standing under Article III of the Constitution. Texas has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another State conducts its elections.”
