Who would have thought there would have been a connection between Hunter Biden (and therefore Joe) and Peter Daszak? This story continues to get more complicated.
The role she’s fulfilling on these visits is, in many ways, neither first lady nor professor but a key player in her husband’s administration, a West Wing surrogate and policy advocate. “An underestimated asset,” as Mary Jordan, the Washington Post reporter who’s written a book about Melania Trump, put it to me. “It’s hard to imagine Joe doing this without her.”
That’s a pretty big admission right there. Yes, she’s clearly more involved in running Joe than she should be, as even she appears to want people to think, despite the fact that she wasn’t elected for anything. If they’re trying to normalize that, no, it’s not normal, nor is it right.
from Thomas’ own written opinion:
“If the Government is now content to allow States to act “as laboratories” “‘and try novel social and economic experiments,’” Raich, 545 U. S., at 42 (O’Connor, J., dissenting), then it might no longer have authority to intrude on “[t]he States’ core police powers . . . to define criminal law and to protect the health, safety, and welfare of their citizens.” Ibid. A prohibition on intrastate use or cultivation of marijuana may no longer be necessary or proper to support the Federal Government’s piecemeal approach.”
So, back to the vast majority of January 6th protestors who didn’t sit in Pelosi’s chair or try to walk off with her podium. You know, those folks who were invited in by the Capitol Police and took selfies with those same police officers as they leisurely strolled through Statuary Hall—making sure to remain within the velvet guide ropes? Those folks? Even if they walk away with only a misdemeanor conviction—or no conviction at all, the left will have won that round. By dragging them through the Federal justice system, draining their net worth, browbeating them, and scaring the hell out of them, the left will have ensured that for the most part, very few of these folks will ever show overt, albeit peaceful resistance to even the most obvious corruption by leftist DC elites.
Bottom line? No conviction is necessary. The process has indeed become the punishment.
The Biden DOJ decided that a different process should be used with regard to the class of January 6 “tourist protesters” whose actual conduct is not different in any meaningful way from the typical political protests that regularly take place in Washington DC.
That is the change in policy that reflects an abuse of the criminal justice system by the Biden DOJ based on a political point of view.
That is where the Biden DOJ is vulnerable to a legal attack.
The arrests and handling of the “Green New Deal” protesters is a problem for Biden DOJ because by employing the “post and forfeit” process for them, the Biden DOJ has now bookended its abusive treatment of the January 6 “tourists protesters” in such a fashion that the argument can be made that the Biden DOJ has not changed the procedures for how political protesters are handled — except for the January 6 “tourist protesters”. That opens them up to a legal challenge that the handling of the January 6 “tourist protesters” is based on the political point of view that was being expressed that day, not because of what they actually did. What they actually did — being in a place they weren’t allowed to be — is not different than what the “Green New Deal” protesters did yesterday.
This allows defense attorneys to legitimately argue — and I believe one or more district court judges will be receptive to — that the January 6 “tourist protesters” are actually being punished because they were present in the Capitol at the same time others were engaged in violent or destructive acts. The harsh treatment they are being subjected to by the Biden DOJ is nothing more than an improper and illegal assertion of “collective” guilt imposed on individuals based on the conduct of others when there is no conspiratorial crime alleged.

Smith appeared as a guest on Fox Business Channel during Monday’s episode of Varney & Co. where he and host Stuart Varney discussed the backlash he received to his viral video. Smith’s response? He mimicked a cricket.
“What was the reaction to you by people who support Critical Race Theory?” asked Varney.
“I’ll give you an example,” said Smith, before making the whistling sound. “They had nothing to say because, pretty much, the lifestyle that I came from, I was the very type of person that they were talking about, that was down, and suppressed, and oppressed, and disproportionate, and for me to be able to come out of that, to work my way through school to get where I am, I just call BS on it – it’s nonsense.” //
To be sure, Smith is another example in the myriad of examples of how Critical Race Theory is wrong. As Smith made clear during his viral speech, he came from a background where his mother and father weren’t present, had to work his way through college, and yet he’s a successful man with two medical degrees. He’s also a successful YouTuber and radio show host.
Despite the left’s inability to launch a single legitimate attack against him, it hasn’t stopped them from lying about him in order to make others stop listening to him. However, it’s hard to deny the facts.
“What gets me is that, as soon as I said that, right, that seemed to have been the focus I noticed was mainly being played. But, I told like whoever these – I guess you’d call them the far left – it seems like they just wanted to focus on. So, now I have no degrees, I don’t have a wife, I don’t have any sons, I’m not a musician, I’m not a minister. I’m some actor that was placed there by the Republican Party and turns out I’m Candace Owens’ brother!” he said.
