The picture above shows a near-optimum spread; we wound up with a thin layer that completely covers the die. Since it didn’t reach the edges, we know we didn't use too much paste, and that it wasn't applied too thick. If you know how large a pea is, beware of literally using a pea-sized blob. A paste ball about 1/10” to 1/6” in diameter should be enough; don’t use more than that! We're talking about a lentil-sized ball here.

Dr. Fauci was finally asked why people with natural immunity should be required to get the covid vaccine given studies that show we have more protection.
His response: “I don’t have a really firm answer for you on that.” //
So let me get this straight. The head of NIAID and the face of the pandemic response has no idea whether natural immunity exists or is durable? He’s seen none of the studies that show natural immunity confers stronger protection than two doses of the vaccine? He hasn’t looked at any of the real-world data sets? He hasn’t seen any of the numbers from the United Kingdom or Israel? Really? //
We are led by dishonest hacks who are putting politics above the health of Americans. That is why there’s vaccine hesitancy, not because of Fox News or Donald Trump. No one trusts these people because they do not deserve any trust. They continually mislead and make decisions based on what fits the narrative they want and not based on where the facts lead.
I honestly don't know for sure either, but I see the same thing from time to time. I have one pool that's a uniform collection of Hitachi disks off an internal LSI2008 baed controller that never has errors, and a pool that's a mismash of WD (some 512, some 4K) & Seagate 2TB drives in an external case attached to a SAS expander by way of an LSI1068 based controller with external cabling, and go figure, it almost always has some small quantity of data that gets repaired with no device level errors (running this scrub right now):
ping 198.168.57.98 && echo Success || echo failed
Very neat method, I've seen a lot of batch but have never seen that. However, I'd modify it to be more like
ping 198.168.57.98 -n 1 > nul 2>&1 && echo Success || echo failed
@echo off
:start
ping %1 -n 1 > nul 2>&1 && echo ok || beep
goto start
