As part of their trending tab, Twitter editorialized discussions happening on their platform comparing Whoopi Goldberg’s two week suspension to Gina Carano’s firing.
They wrote, “Following Whoopi Goldberg’s two-week suspension from The View for comments regarding the Holocaust, people discuss actor Gina Carano’s firing from Disney’s series The Mandalorian for comments comparing COVID-19 restrictions to the Nazis’ treatment of Jewish people.”
This is entirely alarming when viewed for what it is. //
It’s proof that the narrative proliferation worked because Heidi Heitkamp, who had clearly never seen what Carano had said, declared she was a Nazi without about as much thought as she had proof. It’s proof that Carano’s name had been drug through the mud enough that the baseless accusation stuck, othering her in the eyes of many Americans.
And finally, Twitter’s continued proliferation of the narrative shows either a willingness to reinforce the lie or the unwillingness to speak against the lie.
The bottom line here is this: Carano warned against fascism and corporations continue to bow to the fascists she spoke out against.
This single event should have been one of the most alarming wake-up calls in recent history that our media has fallen to truly evil influence. It’s proof that corporations are willing to blindly accept the narrative that they’re given by political radicals. Carano was the canary in the coalmine.
SpaceX has been launching Falcon 9 rockets thick and fast of late. With 10 launches since the beginning of December, the company has flown rockets at a rate greater than one mission a week. And another launch could happen as soon as today, shortly after noon (18:13 UTC), with a Starlink satellite launch planned from Florida.
Lost amid the flurry of activity are some pretty significant milestones for the Falcon 9 rocket, which made its debut a little more than a decade ago. //
The Falcon 9 rocket has now launched a total of 139 times. Of those, one mission failed, the launch of an International Space Station supply mission for NASA, in June 2015. Not included in this launch tally is the pre-flight failure of a Falcon 9 rocket and its Amos-6 satellite during a static fire test in September 2016.
Since the year 2020, the Falcon 9 has been the most experienced, active rocket in the United States, when it surpassed the Atlas V rocket in total launches. Globally, the still-flying Russian Soyuz and Proton rockets have more experience than the Falcon 9 fleet. The Soyuz, of course, remains the king of all rockets. It has more than 1,900 launches across about a dozen variants of the booster dating back to 1957, with more than 100 failures.
The Falcon 9 reached a notable US milestone in January, equaling and then exceeding the tally of space shuttle launches. During its more than three decades in service, NASA's space shuttle launched 135 times, with 133 successes. To put the Falcon 9's flight rate into perspective, it surpassed the larger shuttle in flights in about one-third of the time.
There is no way to know how many missions the Falcon 9 will ultimately fly. At its current rate, the rocket could reach 500 flights before the end of this decade. However, SpaceX is also actively working to put its own booster out of business. The success of the company's Starship project will probably ultimately determine how long the Falcon 9 will remain a workhorse. //
Speaking of safety, this is where the Falcon 9 rocket has really shone of late. Since the Amos-6 failure during its static fire test, SpaceX has completed a record-setting run of 111 successful Falcon 9 missions in a row. It probably will be 112 after Thursday.
There are only two other rockets with a string of successful flights comparable to the Falcon 9. One is the Soyuz-U variant of the Russian rocket, which launched 786 times from 1973 to 2017. The other is the American Delta II rocket, which recently retired. (Eventually, the Atlas V rocket could also exceed 100 consecutive successes before its retirement later this decade.)
Kennedy noted that those who take part in woke culture believe that the criminal is actually the victim in almost any given case, and that “wokers” aren’t willing to accept responsibility for anything, choosing to blame all their misfortunes and society’s ills on everyone else.
“Their motto is, ‘Hear no evil, see no evil, prosecute no evil,’” he added.
“Now, fortunately, most Americans, at least those who have the IQ above a sloth understand that’s not the way the real world works,” Kennedy continued. “There are some people in our society, Jesse, who are not sick, they are not confused. They are not mixed up. It’s not that their momma or daddy didn’t love them enough. They are just bad.”
“And that’s why we have to have prisons,” he said. “And with respect to those people who say, ‘Oh my gosh, I’m in prison, isn’t this terrible?’ I would say, ‘Look, if you don’t want to go to prison, don’t do illegal stuff.’ But the corollary to that is, what you allow is what will continue.”
This is the “jaundiced view of reality” that Kennedy says both President Joe Biden and California Governor Gavin Newsom have adopted. Moreover, Kennedy noted that many Democrat Senators understand the people’s anger about this lack of punishment for criminals, leading to a decrease in law and order, but they won’t do anything out of fear of woke culture coming for them.
“What you allow is what will continue. And as long as we allow this, the criminals are not going to be unhappy with this. And they are going to keep committing crimes,” said Kennedy.
If as an NFL player we aren’t allowed to bet on games(which I fully agree with), why are government officials allowed to buy stocks/stock options?
The European Commission put forward a plan today that defines what counts as a “sustainable investment,” something that’s all but required to manage a transition to clean energy. But to the chagrin of several EU countries, environmental groups, and asset managers, the proposal would allow both natural gas and nuclear to qualify as “contributing substantially to climate change mitigation.”
The split-the-baby approach came about because some countries, including Germany and Poland, lobbied for the inclusion of natural gas, while others, notably France, lobbied for nuclear power. Germany, which is in the process of shuttering its nuclear power plants, remains heavily dependent on coal and has been boosting its use of natural gas to “transition” away from coal. France, on the other hand, uses relatively little natural gas and gets nearly all of its electricity from nuclear power plants.
The end result appeased many EU countries, which tend to favor one fuel or another, but four, Austria, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Sweden, expressed their displeasure. “We are undermining the entire credibility of our Green Deal,” Bas Eickhout, a member of European Parliament from the Netherlands, told CNN. “And on the gas side, I really don’t see it. I fail to see the added value.”
Unhealthy proposal
Even people who had a hand in the plan aren’t happy. Andreas Hoepner, a professor at University College Dublin who helped advise the EU on the plan, told The Washington Post that the proposal was the equivalent of “calling french fries salad.”
While nuclear power is a true low-carbon fuel, producing lifetime carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) emissions on par with wind and solar, its inclusion as a sustainable energy source is controversial in Europe. Several countries, including Germany, Denmark, Austria, and Spain, oppose the construction of new nuclear power plants, mostly because of concerns about safety and waste storage.
While Vindman may achieve an early victory in this case, first with the positive PR he is garnering and second by fending off any attempt by the defendants to have the case immediately tossed as frivolous, he may soon regret his decision to sue.
Unlike the House proceedings in which Schiff and other defendants ran cover for Vindman, allowing him to refuse to respond to relevant questions, federal discovery will not be so limited. And there will be much the defendants will want to know, such as with whom Vindman discussed the telephone call.
The defendants will also be entitled to question under oath a variety of other witnesses, including the whistleblower. Questions of Vindman’s bias will be fair game as well. Then there will be evidence the defendants will seek to gather to establish Trump had legitimate concerns about Hunter Biden’s involvement with the corrupt Ukrainian company Burisma.
In short, Vindman might just give Trump the impeachment trial he needed, with the witnesses he needed, to establish Vindman worked with the whistleblower and the whistleblower with Schiff to launch the Ukraine hoax.
By applying these recommendations, you will likely be well on your way to achieving financial freedom and long-lasting fulfillment.
The potential irony of this decision is just too much to contemplate. Activist groups suing Alabama over a 30-year-old district map could potentially destroy the racial gerrymandering grift for the entire country.

the group and its leaders have caused profound damage to the credibility of the movement they claim to represent, and in a saner world, the DOJ would be investigating right now. I would be shocked if laws haven’t been broken. Unfortunately, I suspect that the racial politics involved have made the organization and its leaders largely untouchable, at least while a Democrat inhabits the White House.

Surviving a pandemic isn't always the end of the story – some viruses can have health effects that linger on for decades, eventually leading to a range of devastating diseases.
Article continues below
I
In the 1960s, epidemiologists studying the long-term prognosis of survivors of the 1918 Spanish Influenza began to notice an unusual trend. Those who were born between 1888 and 1924 – meaning they were either infants or in young adulthood at the time of the pandemic – appeared to have been two or three times more likely to develop Parkinson’s disease at some point in their life than those born at different times.
It was a striking finding. For while the potential neurological consequences of flu infections have been documented by doctors for centuries – there are medical reports of this which date back to 1385 – the sheer scale of the Spanish Flu, which infected around 500 million people globally, meant scientists could link a heightened risk of disease to the pandemic. //
Neurologists attempting to understand why this happens believe that each of these viruses are capable of crossing into the brain, and in some cases damaging the fragile structures which control the co-ordination of movement, known as the basal ganglia, initiating a process of degeneration which can lead to Parkinson's. //
"There are several studies highlighting that people who have recovered from Covid often have long-term central nervous system deficits including loss of sense of smell and taste, brain fog, depression, and anxiety. The numbers are troubling."
While Sars-CoV-2 can invade brain tissue, the scientific jury remains open on whether it will contribute to neurodegenerative disease. Coronaviruses are generally known as "hit and run viruses", because they tend to cause fairly short disease, even if this proves deadly in some cases. In contrast, DNA viruses such as Epstein-Barr can linger permanently in the body and are more associated with long-term illness.
Several state courts issued major election integrity rulings this week that could have a profound effect on elections in swing states ahead of the 2022 midterms.
“Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. ‘Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened,'” 1 Peter 3:13-14 states. //
So what happens when we’re chasing social acceptance instead of Him? We become cowardly doormats.
If someone is too concerned with everybody liking them, he is afraid to be honest with others. A successful Christian community can only be achieved when the interactions are active and genuine.
While we are obviously called to love one another, the Bible also makes it clear that tough love and boundaries are necessary. On that same note, truly respecting someone includes telling them what they do not want to hear once in a while if it’s intended to be helpful.
For the parents who are reading this, it’s important to make sure that your son understands the value of living his faith inwardly and outwardly, especially when he is a teenager and young adult. It’s no secret that we all struggle, but pretending those battles do not exist is dangerous in itself. As the older generation, parents and mentors have a responsibility to encourage younger believers to be vulnerable yet strong.
Sometimes we need to be reminded that church is a hospital and not a place to “be seen” and that salvation comes from Christ, not our friends.
If the men have no spine, the church won’t either. Christian men, let’s get off autopilot and start being present for God and the communities we serve.
The Johns Hopkins researchers concluded that the lockdowns "had enormous economic and social costs," however. The report says lockdowns in Europe and the United States reduced covid mortality by only 0.2% on average.
Fox News: Lockdowns Only Reduced COVID-19 Mortality By .2%, Study Finds: 'Lockdowns Should Be Rejected Out Of Hand'
The researchers – Johns Hopkins University economics professor Steve Hanke, Lund University economics professor Lars Jonung, and special advisor at Copenhagen's Center for Political Studies Jonas Herby – analyzed the effects of lockdown measures such as school shutdowns, business closures, and mask mandates on COVID-19 deaths. "We find little to no evidence that mandated lockdowns in Europe and the United States had a noticeable effect on COVID-19 mortality rates," the researchers wrote. The researchers also examined shelter-in-place orders, finding that they reduced COVID-19 mortality by 2.9%. (Best, 2/1)

Here’s How To Fight Pedophilia’s Normalization
Let’s be abundantly clear: this is not a complicated issue. In fact, there can be no simpler issue. Pedophilia is evil. That’s it. We shouldn’t accept the notion that pro-pedophilia sentiments are valid ideas to be contended with in the marketplace of ideas by the use of rhetorical flourish or superior philosophizing.
Illiberalism is no crime when your opponent uses bad-faith arguments to justify moral atrocities that target the most vulnerable among us, victimizing them in ways they can’t even comprehend.
These ideas, just like those who use their institutional positions to normalize this horrid evil, must be ostracized, shamed, shunned, stigmatized, and mocked out of any and all forms of socio-political or academic influence. This is not extreme. It’s the natural immune system response that any healthy society enacts when confronted with a rising tide of danger and evil.
Here are some simple ways you can reject it:
-
Refuse to use euphemistic and manipulated language. //
-
Become comfortable with being intolerant.
Tolerance is a vice, not a virtue, when you are asked to tolerate unspeakable moral crimes. Our society has begun to see tolerance as the mark of an enlightened person. Reject this faulty framing, and all the degeneracy and spiritual rot that has followed closely behind it. -
Fight, fight, fight.
If there was ever a time to be uncompromising, to cling to your beliefs with unrelenting zeal, this is it. The only proper response to situations such as this is action backed by righteous anger. Root out attempts to normalize pedophilia anywhere and everywhere you find it. Publicize it.

A 477-mile-long lightning bolt crossed three southern US states, and is now verified by the World Meteorolgical Organization to be world-record breaking.
The previous record was 440.6 miles (709 km) and recorded in Brazil in 2018. Scientists say the area in which these states are located are especially prone to lightning.
chmod u-s is the more technically correct way to do it, as you just want to remove the suid bit and not touch the read-write-execute permissions (which are 0755 by default but may or may not have been changed). And pkexec may or may not live in /usr/bin depending on your particular distro. //
You know what’s great about blinking an LED with a 555 instead of a raspi? 555s don’t need security updates. //
So to appropriately neuter pkexec and prevent it from ever being used in an attack chain I issued the following command (Debian based Linux ONLY):
$ sudo dpkg-statoverride –update –add root root 0711 /usr/bin/pkexec
WARN: This is essentially a permanent change until you reverse the procedure (see dpkg-statoverride(8)). No future install/upgrade of the PolicyKit package will change the permissions from those specified. One could also reformat and install another OS. If some program on your system actually needs to use pkexec to change users that program will be broken. But for the life of me I can’t figure out why my printer would need to masquerade as another user. Smells like malware to me.
