How Green Energy Fantasies Have Put The World At The Brink Of War

Europe’s aggressive leap towards ‘green’ energy is proving to be a grave mistake, making it reliant on aggressive foreign neighbors. //

Gas, coal, and nuclear are needed to offer instantaneous energy when unreliable renewables, which also pollute, fail to meet the job. Europe’s energy needs have complicated negotiations with Russia as Putin appears ready to deploy troops into Ukraine in the face of a divided opposition.

Amnesty’s ‘New’ Israel Report Recycles Antisemitic Lies and Terrorist Propaganda

https://www.ngo-monitor.org/reports/amnesty-apartheid-analysis/

The publication breaks no new ground and is not meaningfully different from the discredited Human Rights Watch (HRW) and B’Tselem reports from 2021 – yet Amnesty says they took over four years to produce it.

Like many previous NGO publications, Amnesty’s report manipulates and distorts international law, Israeli policy, and events on the ground, as well as denies the Jewish people their right to sovereign equality and self-determination.

Thus, Amnesty’s report can be considered antisemitic according to the IHRA definition of antisemitism, which notes that: “Denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination, e.g., by claiming that the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavor.”

Likewise, Amnesty’s report criminalizes Israeli laws and practices designed to safeguard Jewish identity – such as the Law of Return – which are enshrined under international law and parallel the practices of many nation-states.

In these attacks, Israeli policies are artificially framed as attempts to preserve “Jewish domination” – an antisemitic trope and refrain throughout the publication. Amnesty’s overarching argument is that everything Israel does is nefarious, whether it promotes peace or Palestinian self-detemination, improves the lives of Palestinians or minority groups in Israel, or if mandated by international law. //

The New York-based civil rights group Anti-Defamation League (ADL) also condemned the anti-Israel report:

We have reviewed Amnesty International UK’s upcoming report on Israel and strongly condemn it as an effort to demonize Israel and undermine its legitimacy as a Jewish and democratic state. In an environment of rising anti-Jewish hate, this type of report is not only inaccurate but also irresponsible and likely will lead to intensified antisemitism around the world.

This new report goes beyond criticizing Israeli policies and actions to painting Israel’s very creation as illegitimate, immoral, and faulted. Amnesty International’s allegations that Israel’s crimes go back to the sin of its creation in 1948, serve to present the Jewish and democratic state as singularly illegitimate at its foundational roots. Such a hateful characterization not only delegitimizes the Israeli state enterprise and the Jewish right to self-determination in its historic homeland, but also undermines the vision of a mutually negotiated solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that will provide security, dignity, and self-determination to both peoples. //

How dare you claim that I, an Arab-Israeli who served along with Jewish soldiers in the IDF and managed hundreds of Jewish employees, live under an apartheid regime? How can you say Samer Haj-Yehia lives in an apartheid regime when he is the head of the biggest bank in Israel?

How Many U.S. Agencies Are Funding Peter Daszak and EcoHealth Alliance Pulling Viruses Out of Animals? – PJ Media

EcoHealth Alliance CEO Peter Daszak just got another taxpayer-funded windfall. Instead of being deposed regarding his firm’s work at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, he is receiving a new pile of cash from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The new award gives EcoHealth Alliance $4,675,023 for a five-year project in Liberia, on the continent of Africa. USAID awarded the funding well after serious questions surfaced about EcoHealth Alliance’s coronavirus research. There are ample concerns about whether those activities violated the Obama administration’s ban on gain-of-function research even if they did not create the SARS-CoV-2 virus. //

So maybe EcoHealth Alliance is going to Liberia to educate residents on the dangers of eating bat soup. However, when you go to the website, it appears that all of EcoHealth’s missions revolve around identifying viruses in wildlife that could be “emerging threats.” This mission is the same one Daszak proposed to DARPA in the PREEMPT program. That proposed project aimed to identify new zoonotic pathogens that might jump from animals to infect humans. Ecohealth Alliance proposed sending teams into the woods to stick Q-tips into the mouths, ears, and rear ends of wild animals.

Then Daszak’s team would mess with the viruses in various ways in the lab. This process could include repeatedly passing them through mice with human characteristics to see if they could evolve to infect people. Incredibly, Daszak and his team suggested developing aerosolized vaccines containing versions of these viruses that appeared to have potential. Then they planned to spray it into the habitats where host animals may become infected with the virus of concern. Even our most advanced military technology development command thought the idea was reckless and could cause disease outbreaks. //

In layman’s terms, USAID has funded projects led by UC Davis to stick Q-tips and needles into animals, pull out pathogens and then assess whether or not they could cause human disease. The team has sampled more than 164,000 animals and people looking for disease spillover from animals. The project has detected 1,100 unique viruses, including 949 novel ones. EcoHealth Alliance is a Core Implementing Partner of the PREDICT program. //

According to EcoHealth Alliance’s website, USAID’s PREDICT program funds this work globally:

The PREDICT project seeks to identify new emerging infectious diseases that could become a threat to human health. PREDICT partners locate their research in geographic “hotspots” and focus on wildlife that are most likely to carry zoonotic diseases – animals such as bats, rodents, and nonhuman primates.

EcoHealth Alliance works at the leading edge of this field by building local capabilities and testing high-risk wildlife in Bangladesh, Côte d’Ivoire, Republic of Congo, China, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Liberia, Malaysia, and Thailand. After scientists collect swabs or small amounts of blood, they analyze the samples in the lab to look for evidence of disease.

Jury Sees Damning Internal Emails In Sarah Palin’s Libel Case Against NY Times

“emails between New York Times editors reveal they ignored fact checkers and admitted to ‘sneaking a link’ between Sarah Palin and the shooting of Rep. Gabby Giffords” //

I think Palin’s goal is go beyond proving “actual malice.” Her goal is to dismantle Sullivan.

Fraud isn’t protected speech. The NYT’s not only libeled Palin, it defrauded the public. Sullivan’s standard allows the news the ability to create fraudulent narratives with very little risk.

Unsolicited Advice: Choose Your Partners Wisely – RedState

[Kanye West] knew the fakeness of the reality world and dove in anyway. He knew all he was looking for was an accessory, and Kim Kardashian is a walking Barbie doll, more plastic than biological material these days. He knew it, and that’s what he liked about her. They were going to be a power couple, from fashion to business to family. Ye was building an empire and Kardashian was the perfect Empress.

Things change when you become a parent. The world shifts, and what you thought was most important completely drops out of view. Kanye West, the father, was a lot different than Kanye West, the artist. He had viewed his marriage as a type of art installation, but West seemed to abhor the idea of making a public experiment of his family. He’s been complaining about their presence on social media and television since nearly the beginning.

Sadly for him, it’s far too late for a do-over. As I was thinking about the celebrity drama my daughter was engrossed in on her phone, I couldn’t help but feel a little sad for the entire West family. They are surrounded by chaos and craziness right now, and it’s all because their father got what he wished for.

He never chose a partner, he chose a decoration.

The tough lesson Kanye West is learning is one we can all stand to be reminded of.

Be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it. //

What I am saying is simple- dream big, choose wisely. Make an effort to draw out the potential consequences of your choice to their possible conclusions, and ask yourself if you’re willing to live that way to have what you want in the here and now.

You want a handsome, wealthy man, but are you willing to accept the ego that often comes with? You want a popular, desired wife, but are you willing to accept what kind of mother that wife will be, and who she may make your children into? You want to be the boss, but are you willing to accept that the people you thought were friends may not like you at all once you write their work reviews?

Choose wisely, because the one thing you cannot choose is time. It marches on with or without you and one day you will be looking at a really sad and tragic consequence of your choice and you’ll have to ask yourself, “Was it worth it?”

Decide now, not when regret is at your doorstep.
