Why doesn't Joe ever know what's going on? //
Today @SecretarySonny and @IvankaTrump announced the launch of a program which will spend $3 BILLION to purchase product from farmers for food lines, kitchens and the Farmers to Families Food Box program!
It isn't the weight of the evidence but the seriousness of the allegation which demands an investigation.
President hands his Cabinet secretaries broad say to nix more regulations //
Donald Trump, eager to juice the staggering US economy to boost his re-election bid, signed an executive order on Tuesday that he said is designed to help businesses recover from the Covid-19 outbreak.
The president told his Cabinet members during a White House meeting the order “gives you tremendous power to cut regulation”. //
The order is about “instructing federal agencies to use any and all authority to waive, suspend and eliminate unnecessary regulations that impede economic recovery,” Mr Trump said before signing it with a large black felt pen. //
And we want to leave it that way,” he added.
Mr Trump has made nixing regulations, especially ones put in place by the Obama administration, a top priority during his over three years in office.
This should worry us. //
Appearing on Fox News with host Maria Bartiromo, Navarro gave us a quick timeline of China’s actions beginning with patient zero in November //
We know that patient zero in China was about mid-November. It was in Wuhan. We know that ground zero had the P-4 weapons lab, where the virus likely came from. For the next two months, we know that China hid the virus from the world behind the shield of the World Health Organization.
And, as they did that, they sent gleaming passenger jets from China, not into the rest of China from Wuhan, but to places like New York and Milan, seeding the world with what would become a pandemic.
As they did that, we also know, Maria, from their own customs data that they vacuumed up virtually all of the world’s personal protective equipment, including over two billion masks.
And we also know that, today, what China is doing, sitting on that stockpile of what we call PPE, is, they are selling it at profiteering prices to some. And, to other countries, they are actually putting pressure on those countries to deny the virus came from China or to talk about Taiwan or to do other things.
So, that’s it in a nutshell. And what that means for us here is, this morning, Americans won’t go to church because of the China virus. Sons and daughters of America won’t be taking their mothers to brunch. Tomorrow, 33 million Americans won’t be going to work, and millions of children in America will be home climbing the walls, instead of learning, reading, writing, and arithmetic.
So, that’s the China problem that we face. President Trump built the most powerful and beautiful economy in the world in three years.
The Chinese Communist Party took it down in 60 days.
Wallace: Voters will understand, "the president didn’t create the virus." //
According to an ABC News/Washington Post poll released on March 30, “53% of Trump supporters say they’re “very enthusiastic” about supporting the president, while only 24% of those backing Biden say the same about supporting the former vice president.” //
This crisis was not his fault, but he is handling it well. Even Chris Wallace thinks so. And that’s saying something.
President Trump demonstrates that Federalism, combined with the Private Sector, will win this fight. //
that promoted the concept that the major Wuhan Virus fight is going to be won by logistics. The longer this current crisis goes on, the more I am convinced of that.
Read: Opinion: Beating the Wuhan Virus Will Be More of a Logistical Fight Than a Medical One //
In another article, I mentioned that America has a lot of capacity that could be moved around to deal with surge situations. That Army Field hospital, along with the hospital ships USNS Comfort and Mercy, are just three examples.
Read: Opinion: We Have Excess Capacity, No Need to Panic
As I noted in my previous pieces, once we get the behemoths that are our military and commercial supply chains focused on something, we can kick out supplies, equipment and trained personnel like no other nation on Earth. As the President quipped during one daily briefing, “By the time we get through, ventilators will be going for five bucks apiece.” And he’s correct. Washington State’s experience is just one example. //
Along the way, I noticed something else, something pretty darned neat. I’ve always considered President Trump to be a typical Manhattan “limousine liberal.” //
During one of the afternoon briefings a few days ago, there was this exchange between a reporter and The President regarding the manufacture and distribution of masks.
Reporter…Don’t you want one National Standard?
Trump: No. If a state can get masks faster than we can, then do it. No need for a national standard at this point. The states know better.
Get ready to see a lot more of this //
Ironically, as well as hitting every conceivable Biden weak point–corruption, self-dealing, weak on defense, reflexive liar, subservient to China, and demented–This video demonstrates that absolutely no one in the media actually believed that President Trump was in any way obliged to Russia for his victory in 2016. In just one minute, the Trump campaign lays bare extensive links between Biden and China that seem to indicate the man is in bondage to Beijing in a way that no one was ever able to provide to link Trump to Russia. The fact that the media have not covered these links between China and Biden and Biden’s suck-up statements about China shows they do not take them seriously. If they don’t take these links seriously, there is no way they took the Russia Hoax seriously.
It’s unhelpful hyperbole—and insulting to some good reporters—to compare the mostly dry briefings to a wild, one-sided Trump rally. The president gives the press a big chunk of time at the briefings every day to grill him, and they do. That in and of itself makes the rally comparison recklessly off base. Trump’s team using video clips from the briefings to promote his handling of the crisis is hardly a cost that undercuts the benefit of having him answer to the press.
Vice President Mike Pence is the “diamond” to President Trump’s “rough.” //
For such a position, it would seem that such a self effacing guy like Mike Pence would be perfect for the job. He is. He understands that he is there to advance the President’s agenda and make sure that the glory for successes accrue to him, while he, the VP, stays in the background. The role of the Vice Presidency has rarely if ever deviated from that, despite the occasional vows of a “co-Presidency” during the first Clinton-Gore campaign. //
More recently, President Trump has appointed Vice President Pence to quarterback the United States “whole of government” response to Wuhan virus threat. Of course there were some who decried the appointment of a politician to the post instead of a medical “expert.” As I explained in a previous article, that line of reasoning is foolish. Most of this effort will entail a huge logistics exercise, a government-private sector supply chains endeavor. for that, you need somebody close to the apex of the Executive Branch who can access all the appropriate levers of National Power. Absent the President, who has other things going on alongside this crisis, the Vice President is the next best thing. //
This is where Vice President Pence shines. When we don’t see him, he’s busily honchoing the Task Force and making things happen. However, when we do see him at the various and sundry public briefings, he is always invoking, “The President,” or “The President’s.” He knows it’s not about him. He stays on message and provides a steady and consistent presence. Above all, he lets Americans know that their President has a plan and he (Pence) and a host of others, are diligently working on the President’s plan. In over 34 years of commissioned service, I’ve had a number of Deputies, Seconds in Command, Executive Officers and the like, some better than others. I can say based on experience, President Trump has chosen wisely in Vice President Mike Pence, a humble, yet effective man.
Can't keep a good man down
Like many congressional activities, the Senate trial begins with pomp and circumstance and procedure and process. Little of substance will be achieved until the case is presented next week. //
Senators may chafe at some of the conditions they'll have to deal with once that happens. They are expected to be seated at their desks and will have to refrain from talking to one another during the arguments.
They'll need to rise when Roberts enters and exits the chamber, and should votes occur, they'll have to stand then, too.
Perhaps most difficult of all, senators will be separated from their cellphones while in the chamber and must check them in their cloakrooms.

You know what you hand out pens for? Accomplishments.
Like, say, signing a historic trade deal with China.
So it's fitting that Democrats are handing out pens for their sole accomplishment: impeachment
Democrats have done NOTHING for the American people //
Your Congress at work: special pens made for signing articles of Impeachment.

We're approaching 100 years of the wonderful tradition. //
“In 1923, President Calvin Coolidge lit the first National Christmas tree.”
“Later that night, African-American community centers held an outdoor worship service on these grounds. And during that service, the Washington Monument was illuminated with a beautiful cross — a powerful reminder of the meaning of Christmas.”
“More than two thousand years ago, a brilliant star shown in the east. Wise men traveled far, and they came and they stood under the star where they found the Holy Family, in Bethlehem. As the Bible tells us, when the wise men had come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshipped Him.”
“Christians give thanks that the Son of God came into the world to save humanity. Jesus Christ inspires us to love one another with hearts full of generosity and grace.”
“At Christmas, we remember this eternal truth: Every person is a beloved child of God. As one grateful nation, we praise the joy of family, the blessings of freedom, and the miracle of Christmas.”
Good one, Mr. President. //
“They got rid of the light bulb that people got used to — the new bulb is many times more expensive. And I hate to say it — it doesn’t make you look as good. Of course, being a vain person, that’s very important to me.”
Then came the goodness:
“Like, it gives you an orange look. I don’t want an orange look. Has anyone noticed that? So we will have to change those in at least a couple of rooms where I am in the White House.”
Francis Fukuyama got quite a bit wrong in his 1992 essay “The End of History,” but he also got a lot right, especially in regard to the roughly 25-year period between the fall of the Soviet Union and the election of Donald Trump. A neoliberal world order led by the United States did emerge in the 1990s to become, if not a hegemonic power, at the least the dominant one. Capitalism was not only on the rise but promised to liberalize nations like Russian, and especially China.
With the election of Trump and the success of socialists like Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez the future of the American-led, bipartisan, neoliberal world order is in considerable doubt. In fact, breaking with this world order was central to Trump’s appeal and victory. On trade, military actions, and foreign aid, Trump challenged basic assumptions held by the leaderships of both parties for decades.
Not everyone was on board back in the early 1990s. Ross Perot’s historic performance as the Reform Party candidate in the 1992 general election was rooted almost exclusively in the fact that he was the candidate who opposed the globalism and trade deals that both George HW Bush and Bill Clinton tacitly supported. That voting base never really went away, and a quarter-century later it did the heavy lifting in putting Trump in the White House.
The central theme of Trump’s ideology towards the United States’ relationship with the rest of the world is that we are being taken advantage of. In the post-Cold War era the United States took on an enormous burden in exchange for dominant influence. It was the patriarchal nation not just of the free world, but of almost the entire world. It was a generous parent, often providing extravagant allowances to its client states.
In some ways, this paradigm was wildly successful. Poverty rates globally declined dramatically. Here in the United States commercial goods became remarkably cheap, giving the middle class, and even the poor in some cases, access to material wealth that would have seemed extravagant in the Cold War period, like flat-screen TVs and cell phones. And for a time, it did appear that a relaxed approach to nations like Russia and China would inevitably lead to their liberalization.
Liberal media is going to have a tough time trying to spin the reaction that President Donald Trump got at the LSU/Alabama game in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. As the Daily Wire observed, Newsbusters Vice President Dan Gainor called it, “Welcome to real America!” and it was certainly different from the reaction in D.C. during the World Series game, inside the Beltway bubble.
WASHINGTON, D.C.—As the end of Daylight Saving Time approaches, President Trump has declared that instead of turning the clocks back one hour, Americans will be turning them back to January 20, 2017, granting him an entire redo of his first term in office."I hereby order all Americans, at the end of DST, to turn all their clocks back to January 20, …
The guy at the center of the storm is not a whistleblower by any stretch of the imagination. Not only did he not witness any illegal behavior, he didn’t even witness any behavior. He’s a gossipmonger who is trying to damage the President because of what seems to be more personal animus than a policy basis. I hope Trump finds out this guy’s name and gives him the recognition on Twitter that he deserves. I’m not alone in my assessment of the whistleblower’s status, the Office of Legal Counsel agrees. I think everyone throws around treason and traitor a bit too freely, but after watching the Democrats and some people who used to write here in action, I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m in a minority. If Trump has been accused of treason, he has certainly earned the right to repay that insult in its own coin. On the serious side, this shows that quite a few of the intelligence agency employees attached to the White House are openly partisan and will happily use their position to forward those goals. I’d be all in favor of Trump going after the people doing this with all the vigor that Bill Barr can wring out of the Justice Department.
On the merits, I’m not impressed at all with the whistleblower complaint. There is literally nothing in there that is illegal and, unless you’re a Democrat, there isn’t very much to object to.
Two thoughts here. Does anyone really believe that he made these statements in front of this audience without the intent that they’d be made public. Think about it. State Department employees in New York are not really a core Trump constituency.
Second... Trump [and GOP] have raised $13million this week off this...
