If you work with your hands, you may have noticed that the fingerprint reader can be somewhat unreliable, requiring several jabs from the meat nugget to work. It only takes an additional second or so, but it's a speed bump when it comes to unlocking.
The problem is that fingerprints wear out and change as you work with your hands. It's not enough of a change to allow you to get away with crimes, but the wear and tear and scuffs and scars can be enough to fool the scanner. //
#1: Give Android the middle finger
Rather than using the tips of the fingers, use the sides, especially the thumb. Again, it's a spot that takes less damage.
Another trick I find works well is to enroll the same finger with the fingerprint reader several times over a period of time. This way, it learns to read your fingerprint through the random scuffs and scars over a period of time.
We've known for more than a year that Google Play Music's days were numbered. Its death had even been officially announced, but it's now really real. Google has just sunset the GPM app on Android and web, providing the knock-out blow to what has been a rather short match.
Open the Android app now and you'll likely be greeted by a white splash screen with a Play Music logo that morphs into a YouTube Music one. Bold text tells you GPM is no longer available and explains that you can transfer your whole library to YTM. Two buttons are provided below that, one to kickstart the transfer process and another to manage your data. The latter takes you to the GPM site where you can download and delete your full library, and delete your recommendation history. Once you're done, the app's widget should disappear by itself from your homescreen if you had added it there. //
RIP, Google Play Music (2011-2020)

The way I've always understood it to work is as follows:
If you are using a Chromecast capapble app on your phone / tablet and hit the Cast button you are sending an instruction set to the Chromecast. Meaning Open Netflix, play this content. Once the Chromecast receives the instructions it starts streaming the content directly from the internet, so your phone / tablet is out of the mix, unless you want to pause, fast forward, etc. Once the content starts playing you could turn your phone / tablet off and the content would continue to play on the Chromecast.
If you are trying to stream content from a non Chromecast capable app, you would need to enable Screen Mirroring from your (Android) phone / tablet. In that situation your phone / tablet is sending the information through the access point to the Chromecast and not directly to the Chromecast.

While there are quite a few Android screen mirroring applications available, I am going to use an open-source application called scrcpy. Apart from Windows, it is also available for Linux. It is straightforward to use but it lacks a UI and needs to be controlled via CLI which might intimidate some users. However, it is an extremely powerful and feature-rich tool that will not only let you mirror your Android phone's display to your PC but do much more.
