There is NO statistically significant increase for the number or strength or viciousness of hurricanes making landfall over time since the 1850s
Decade after decade:
- 19 hurricanes on average
- Average category 2 when they make landfall
- Avg central pressure: 965
- 89 mph avg wind
What's the story, Wishbone?
There are many theories as to what's going on, but the answer is probably more simple than we think.
Our culture has been turned upside down and we're currently facing a crisis of displacement and misplacement. Men have been ejected out of their role in society as women have been forced into it. //
Men have been taken away from their place as breadwinners and women have been pushed away from their natural role as caretakers, or worse, kept there while being forced to also be breadwinners. What's more, both sexes have been pushed away from each other, leaving an instinctual urge unfulfilled, increasing feelings of depression and anxiety that only grow the more people age.
In our pursuit of "success," we've lost sight of what success is.
Jesus once asked, "What does it profit a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?" It's a question worth pondering. We keep looking to succeed in a society that defines success with money, big houses, trophy wives or husbands, fame, influence, a corner office on an upper floor, and other Earthly pursuits, but while these things are nice, what's the point of them if they make you unhappy.
Wealth doesn't complete you. It greases wheels, but it doesn't bring happiness. //
Perhaps real happiness isn't in what today's society calls "success" but what God and our very nature have urged us to do.
Return to valuing the nuclear family, masculinity should be embraced and respected, men should be returned to their place as head of the household and encouraged to embrace hard work and ladder climbing, while women should be encouraged to embrace their caregiving and nurturing nature, not reject it in the name of competing with men.
Perhaps there we'll find actual success, also known as contentment and happiness.

Not one of these unelected jurists have cited even ONE, Article, Section or Clause of either the Constitution of the Voting Rights act that requires a state's congressional delegation to mirror its racial demographics. NOT ONE.
They are using the same turgid "logic" that Roberts did to rewrite O-Care to make it "legal."
The State of Alabama needs to ignore this decision and place any Federal officer attempting to enforce it, under arrest.
Majority-Minority districts are inherently racist, and unconstitutional. //

There is no Constitutional authority for the federal government to impose its preferences on decisions regarding redistricting by the state legislatures. That is the states' lawful prerogative. The Voting Rights Act is statute, which is inferior to Constitutional law. Even if one argues it was once necessary, it certainly has outlived its usefulness and is without Constitutional foundation. It usurps state power and gives it to the federal government.
It is racist to draw boundaries to favor ANY race over another. This order by a federal judge displays far more prejudice than the map drawn by the state legislature. It literally orders districts along racial lines, and the goal has little to do with actual race. The goal is clearly to create another Democrat district. The inescapable conclusion is that the court believes black citizens are all supposed to think and vote alike, and that this must be considered a permanent condition. I don't know what can be more racist than that. The court owns that position now. //

Exactly. They are arguing that is you don't put black people people in district with a majority black people, they aren't represented. How stupid.
So by extention then, the other black people not in those districts are also disenfranchised. So are the white people in the black districts. So, it's okay to disinfranchise people as long as you make a group or two that are not? Moronic.
So, in essence, the Biden White House is trying to sneak in a provision that would essentially require employers to provide accommodations for women seeking to have abortions – the exact opposite of what the measure was intended to accomplish.
A couple years ago, as the writer Sarah Elizabeth was working on her book, "The Art of Fantasy" (out September 12th), a particular illustration kept popping into her mind's eye. It was the cover for the 1976 Dell/Laurel Leaf paperback edition of Madeleine L'Engle's classic sci-fi/fantasy novel "A Wrinkle in Time."
She wanted to include the piece in her book, but she didn't know who the artist was. "I thought, 'Oh, pish posh! Surely I'm going to find this in the first page of Google.' No. No, no, no!"
The answer isn't on any page of google, or any page of the physical book itself — not the copyright page where the rest of the credit information is, not the front or back cover, NOWHERE.
Zero knowledge refers to policies and architecture that eliminate the possibility for a password manager to access your password.
In order to help you get through the process as relaxed as possible, we have put together a detailed, step-by-step guide for how to move your WordPress site to a new host (with zero downtime!).
I am unreasonably excited about passkeys, I’ve long been looking for a better/more convenient way than passwords to do authentication, and I think passkeys are finally it.

Hello! I'm Stavros, welcome to the Spam Chronicles.
Years ago, I created Spamnesty. Spamnesty let you forward your spam to it, and it would reply to spammers with pre-written messages, wasting their time and (hopefully) resulting in entertaining conversations.
Much, much later, ChatGPT came out, and its impact on messing with spammers was obvious. Unfortunately, I couldn't really integrate it into Spamnesty for two reasons: One was that of cost, as it would get very expensive very quickly to have to generate thousands of responses per day. The other was simply that most spam today is automated, so it would just be bots talking to bots, which doesn't make for entertaining conversation.
Still, this idea was on the back of my mind, and when one day I got a spam message from someone trying to sell me some services, I thought "well, this is an actual person, and I could waste their time by having ChatGPT generate a reply that comes from my own inbox."
A day later, I had made SpamGPT, a small script that would look at a certain label in my mailbox, and have ChatGPT reply to emails with that label. That way, whenever I got a spam email that looked like it came from a person, I could just apply the SpamGPT label to it and the script would handle the rest.
Seeing how the conversations were lots of fun to read, I figured I shouldn't keep them to myself, so I created this site for you to share in my mirth.
Without any delay, and with exceeding haste, I began asking ChatGPT to write the code for me, creating what ChatGPT named SpamGPT.
SpamGPT
Two spammer robots, spamming each other.
SpamGPT is a simple program: It runs at a random minute every hour, opens my email, looks in a folder I’ve named SpamGPT, and replies to any emails in there that it hasn’t already replied to.
All I have to do is find spam messages that looks like they were written by a person (mostly sales emails), and move them to the SpamGPT email folder, and SpamGPT will eventually reply to them. Its instructions are that it should pretend to be interested in whatever the spammer is selling, and do whatever it can to waste their time. This includes trying to set up meetings, pretending to have issues with its computer, insist that payment details are wrong, or that it has sent the payment, and whatever else it can conceive of.
The result is as entertaining as ever.

A coalition of more than 1,600 scientists critical of their peers’ hyperbolic claims about climate change drew a prominent recruit to sign their 2019 declaration that the climate “emergency” is a myth.
John Clauser, who won last year’s Nobel Prize in physics, became the second Nobel laureate last month to sign the document with 1,607 other scientists rebuking the idea of a climate crisis.
“Climate science should be less political, while climate policies should be more scientific,” the declaration organized by the Climate Intelligence Foundation (CLINTEL) reads. “Scientists should openly address uncertainties and exaggerations in their predictions of global warming, while politicians should dispassionately count the real costs as well as the imagined benefits of their policy measures.”
Last year, the International Energy Agency (IEA) debuted a roadmap to net-zero emissions that became the model for corporate bishops of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards. A June report from the Energy Policy Research Foundation criticized the initiatives outlined as a “green mirage.” The IEA roadmap, researchers wrote, “will dramatically increase energy costs, devastate Western economies, and increase human suffering.”
“The aim of global policy should be ‘prosperity for all’ by providing reliable and affordable energy at all times,” reads CLINTEL’s World Climate Declaration. “There is no climate emergency. Therefore, there is no cause for panic and alarm.”
I never heard of it when it was a "hit Broadway show." I never heard of Jonny Donahoe, whose one-man show it is. And when I happened to skim past it on HBO, I thought at first that it was stand-up comedy.
Every Brilliant Thing is listed as a documentary, //
onny Donahoe, a plump, energetic, charming Brit, grew up with a bipolar mother, who vacillated between bursts of ecstatic energy and deep, soul-destroying depression. Even in his youth, Donahoe was aware that his mother lived on the brink of suicide, and one of his efforts to inspire her not to kill herself was a massive list.
It didn't start out massive. His modest goal was to come up with a couple of hundred things that made life worth living -- a list of "every brilliant thing." Soon it became a list of a thousand brilliant things, and then hundreds of thousands.
By any measure, it became his life's work. Because he, too, suffered from depression, and this list was as much talking to himself as it was talking to his mother.
During the show Every Brilliant Thing, we hear maybe fifty entries from the list. They range from perfectly ordinary things which become brilliant when you hear them mentioned in this context. Others truly are extraordinary, though it's easy for us to forget about them.
The list itself would be enough to make this potentially depressing show an exercise in optimism. But the list is merely the maguffin, and you do not have to be or know a person who wrestles with suicidal impulses in order to be glad you watched Every Brilliant Thing.
Because, ultimately, this show is not just about suicide. On another level, it's a really funny and inspiring example of live theatre at its best. Because in telling his story, Donahoe involves the audience. To many people in this tiny arena house, he has given entries in the list -- with numbers either high or low. They wait for their number to be called out, and then in a clear voice they read that particular "brilliant thing."
But this is only the beginning, because Donahoe is telling stories, and when he needs to stage a scene, he does -- with audience members as actors. Now, it's possible that these are ringers, but I don't think so. I've seen few actors who could fake the natural responses of these people. After the show, we hear snatches of conversation between these audience members, making it clear that no, they had not been coached, except whatever coaching Donahoe himself gives on stage right in front of us.
This user guide contains all essential information for the user to make full use of MeshCentral, a free open source web-based remote computer management software. The guide provides quick steps to setup administrative groups to remote control and manage computers in local network environments or via the Internet. Latter parts of the document will cover some advanced topics. The reader is expected to already have some of the basic understanding on computer networking, operating system and network security.
Installation
Getting started is easy. If you don't have it already, install (NodeJS)[https://nodejs.org/]. Then, create an empty folder and do this:
npm install meshcentral
node node_modules/meshcentral
That's it. MeshCentral will set itself up and start managing computers on your local network. By default it will be setup in LAN mode and agents you install will multicast on the local network to find the server. To setup the server so that agents use a well known DNS name and to start customizing your server, go in the "meshcentral-data" folder and edit the config.json file. The configuration file must be valid JSON, you can use (this link)[https://duckduckgo.com/?q=json+lint&t=h_&ia=answer] to validate the file format.

Anthony also shared his salvation story while talking to Rogan, speaking of an injury he sustained that left him feeling desperate and alone. While lying in a hospital bed suffering from a fractured skull, he proclaimed, "I can't do this anymore," and asked God to give him another chance to accomplish what he felt was left for him to do in this life.
The singer also alluded to the writings of the Apostle Paul in Romans, noting that everyone is destined to become a slave to something and that choosing God over fleeting, worldly idols is the right path.
ANTHONY: We all serve some master, whether we realize it or not, so why not let it be the master that is above all? //
As I said in my prior writings on the man, I think those trying to make him some political force are misguided (on both sides). I don't think that's his goal, and that's not something that should be chastised. I don't really care what political party he supports or who he voted for in 2020. There's more to life than political slap-fighting, and reading scripture to Joe Rogan seems like a pretty worthwhile cause to me. //

Rogan is far more likely to let the words from Anthony sink in than he would be if he had John McArthur or Tony Evans on. And it isn't just Rogan, but million and millions of Rogan's listeners. Most of them are probably not hearing the Word of God on a regular basis anywhere else.
Anthony openly admits he is a broken man, saved by the grace of God. He offers a living example that you don't have to pretend to be perfect or fit a mold to be a follower of Christ.
We are all broken, to one degree or another, for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
....
If you will notice in the Bible, we are told of failures and sins of almost every major figure. There is a reason for this in my opinion. We are not to hold them up as perfect or as the best example, but to Christ. All of them were sinners and all of them were flawed, except the one perfect, fully man, fully God, Jesus Christ. God uses everyone and he can reach people with Anthony that some of the greatest men of God of our generation could not reach.
