SPF Record Generator
Use this tool to generate your SPF record.
Many email messages are being sent from PHP scripts on a server. How to find domains on which these scripts are running if Postfix is used?
The domain name in the email address is fairly irrelevant. The name used in the MX record doesn't really matter either. ISPs will often use something like mail.customer-domain.com in MX records, all pointing to one server whose real name is obviously not mail.customer-domain.com. What does matter is the servers actual hostname.
When talking via SMTP, your server will identify itself in the SMTP conversation using its full hostname, in this case 'server.example.com'.
The A record for 'server.example.com' should point to the IP of your server, and the PTR record for this IP address should match the hostname.
server.example.com. A 82.197.45.124
124.45.197.82.in-addr.arpa. PTR server.example.com
Mail hosting made simple.
Modoboa is a mail hosting and management platform including a modern and simplified Web User Interface. It provides useful components such as an administration panel or a webmail.
Modoboa integrates with well known software such as Postfix or Dovecot. A SQL database (MySQL, PostgreSQL or SQLite) is used as a central point of communication between all components.
Modoboa is developed with modularity in mind, expanding it is really easy. Actually, all current features are extensions.
It is written in Python 3 and uses the Django, jQuery and Bootstrap frameworks.
SOGo offers multiple ways to access calendaring and messaging data. Your users can either use a web browser, Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, Apple iCal, or a mobile device to access the same information.
SOGo is a highly interoperable solution due to its adoption and promotion of open standards. Among those, SOGo particularly focuses on:
CalDAV: The Calendaring Extensions to WebDAV protocol is vastly popular among clients (Apple iCal, Mozilla Lightning, etc.) and allows them to exchange calendar components with servers that support it.
CardDAV: In its fourth revision, vCard Extensions to WebDAV is to address books / contacts what CalDAV is to calendaring. Less popular than CalDAV, it's nevertheless quickly gaining momentum and is used by the SOGo Connector extension.
Mail protocols: For messaging, SOGo fully makes use of standard protocols such as IMAP and SMTP.

Mail-in-a-Box lets you become your own mail service provider in a few easy steps. It’s sort of like making your own gmail, but one you control from top to bottom.
Technically, Mail-in-a-Box turns a fresh cloud computer into a working mail server. But you don’t need to be a technology expert to set it up.
Here’s how you can get a Mail-in-a-Box running:
Each Mail-in-a-Box provides webmail and an IMAP/SMTP server for use with mobile devices and desktop mail software. It also includes contacts and calendar synchronization.
- Roundcube Webmail
- Nextcloud Contacts
- A Control Panel //
If you are an expert and have a domain name and a completely fresh Ubuntu 18.04 machine running in the cloud, you basically just run on that machine:
curl -s https://mailinabox.email/setup.sh | sudo bash
You will be asked to enter the email address you want and a few other configuration questions. The script will install (and uninstall!) and configure a few dozen Ubuntu packages and the Mail-in-a-Box control panel. Consult the setup guide for complete details. See the README on github for advanced instructions.
Please note that the goal of this project is to provide a simple, turn-key solution. There are basically no configuration options and you can’t tweak the machine’s configuration files after installation. If you are looking for something more advanced, try iRedMail or Modoboa.

Mailchimp offers merge tags for all kinds of dynamic information. Paste a merge tag into your email campaign to add personalized or dynamic content. The following list outlines all of the tags available to you.
For more details on how to use merge tags in Mailchimp, take a look at our Getting Started with Merge Tags article.
Most Mailchimp templates include a View this email in your browser link that goes to a browser-based copy of your campaign. This campaign page link helps contacts who aren't able to view your content in their email client. If you don't have this link in your campaign, or if it was accidentally deleted, we recommend adding one.
The campaign page link uses our |ARCHIVE| merge tag. When you send your campaign, we'll replace the merge tag with your active campaign page link.
If you've custom-coded a template or campaign, or if you're using a Code content block, you can add a campaign page link in the HTML. Copy and paste this into your code where you want the link to appear.
<a href="|ARCHIVE|">View this email in your browser</a>
In a Plain-Text Campaign, type the |ARCHIVE| merge tag where you'd like the campaign page link to appear. Here's an example.
Email not displaying correctly? View it in your browser: |ARCHIVE|
When you send your campaign, we'll replace the |ARCHIVE| merge tag with the full URL for the browser-based copy of your campaign.
UUPlus software is specifically designed for Internet email and file transfer over slow and/or error prone connections such as mobile satellite phones, HF and V/UHF radio modems, and services such as Mobile Packet Data Service and BGAN. Our software is distributed as part of the UUPlus Satellite Email Service or is sold as a deployed systems solution for private or regional networks.
With compressed, bi-directional data transfer, UUPlus software achieves throughput speeds four or more times faster than standard POP/SMTP connections and twice that of general purpose accelerated satellite gateway software. UUPlus software will also connect reliably in situations where normal IP based protocols will timeout.
UUPlus is easy to install and maintain and supports most satellite networks including Inmarsat (MPDS, BGAN), Iridium (all phones, the Go! included), Globalstar (gateway connect), and Thuraya (gateway connect). In the deployed software versions, UUPlus supports Codan, Pactor, AX.25, and P.25 Radio.

The purpose of this page is to answer commonly asked questions about Pine and give advanced information related to these answers. The main point of this page is that much of the help that exists today about Pine is not completely satisfactory in my opinion, in the sense that it lacks a more general view. In order to explain this, much of the help is written on the form of "how do I do this?", or as an explanation of a feature that already exists in Pine.
This page takes a different approach to helping you improve your experience with Pine. Instead of answering questions or explaining features, this page gives an in-depth description behind each screen and configuration option. I describe each screen, what configuration options relate to it, what are the advantages and disadvantages of setting them. I do also answer questions like "How do I?", but my main intention is to give you a full picture of what you can (and can't) do.
The purpose of this page is to distribute releases of Alpine, as well as to provide users with documentation on Alpine. All documentation needed to configure Alpine can be found in the binary, and this page may provide extra documentation. In any case, you are not required, nor encouraged to access this site to run Alpine. You can run Alpine in your computer without the need to ever visit this site. All documentation needed to configure Alpine can be found in the binary, and can be read by either pressing the "?" command or by pressing "^G" in Alpine.
Open your profile folder and see if you have a file named abook.mab.bak and another named history.mab.bak. Those are backups of your Personal and Collected addressbooks in the old .mab addressbook format (v78 does not use the mab format, but v68 does. This is one of the major changes introduced in v78). To restore those backups, simply rename them to their original name, e.g abook.mab and history.mab and restart Thunderbird.
You can run Thunderbird v68 with the --allow-downgrade commandline switch to downgrade your v78 profile for use with v68.
Switching a mail provider is often combined with one major thought holding one back: What will happen to all my e-mails? I don't want to lose my e-mails!
Sure, if you used POP3 to download the e-mails to your mail client, the e-mails are not stored on the server anymore. This worked fine in the 90s and 00s but since mobile Internet there are usually multiple devices connected to your mailbox: Notebook, Workstation, Smartphone or even a Tablet. In such a scenario, only IMAP (IMAPv4 to be precise) can do the job: All the e-mails remain on the server (in the mailbox) but are synced to the local mail client. Every change in the local mail client is synced back to the server. Hence all the devices see the same status.
For a customer of Infiniroot we recently needed to find a way to migrate all the existing e-mails (more than 28'000) from a long-existing mailbox to a new mailbox located on the dedicated server of this customer. This is where we came across imapsync.
Enjoy the security and benefits of a dedicated mailbox server in a highly available mail infrastructure.
The problems are well known when using free e-mail providers or shared hosting mail servers: My e-mail was sent but was it received on the other side? Why are my e-mails rejected by a blacklist? Are my e-mails secure when hundreds of other users are storing their mails on the same mailserver?
E-Mails are business critical and you should not be asking the questions above. The Private Mailbox Server offers a purely dedicated mailbox server in a highly available and redundant mail infrastructure. Your e-mails are stored securely on a private mailbox server; no other customers are using your mailbox server nor are able to access it. //
