Georgia State Farm Arena Footage Shows Poll Workers Staying Behind, Pulling Out ‘Suitcases’ With Ballots

President Donald Trump’s legal team on Thursday presented surveillance footage to a Georgia State Legislature hearing that appears to show election ballot-counting workers kicking out poll observers late at night on Election Day before pulling out what appear to be suitcases allegedly filled with ballots.

A woman who identified herself as Jackie Pick, a lawyer who is assisting with their legal case, said the team received video footage from State Farm Arena’s vote-tabulation center in Fulton County, Georgia. The team said that GOP poll watchers were not allowed to watch the counting process in the poll center.

But, according to Pick, an unusual occurrence took place later in the evening at around 10 p.m. ET. A woman—described as a blonde woman with braids—told workers to stop counting and told everyone to go home.

“Everyone clears out, including the Republican observers and the press, but four people stay behind and continue counting and tabulating well into the night,” Pick said. They counted unobserved until about 1 a.m.

Pick said that video footage shows Fulton County election workers waiting at their scanning areas until GOP poll watchers and reporters left the room before they started “scanning ballots,” ostensibly without any observation. Pick noted that it contravenes state and county law. //

At 11 p.m., once everyone is gone, the workers are seen “pulling ballots out from underneath a table.” She asked if it’s normal to “store suitcases of ballots under a table cloth?” Pick said after reviewing footage that it’s not a normal procedure.

It’s not clear if election workers knew they were being recorded on camera.

The lawyer further alleged that the same woman with the blonde hair and braids, presumably the manager, had placed the table there earlier. It’s not clear where those ballots came from, and it’s not clear when the purported suitcases of thousands of ballots were placed under the table. Whether they’re suitcases or a special carrier for ballots is also not clear.

Witnesses have sworn in affidavits that the counting continued until the early morning hours, Trump’s team said.

“Why are they counting them when the place is cleared out with no witnesses?” Pick said.

She argued that based on the number of ballots there, it is “beyond the margin of victory” in the presidential race. It’s because three scanners—which can carry out several thousand ballot processes per hour—were working several hours that night. This process, she said, “goes on, and on, and on” until the early morning hours.

The Fall of Lorem Ipsum. And the rise of UX writing | by Kriti Krishan | The Startup | Medium

And the rise of UX writing“Writing is easy. All you have to do is cross out the wrong words.” — Mark Twain

Today, the anatomy of a digital experience includes images, shapes and words. These three are the equivalent of the 7 musical notes which can be combined in infinte number of permutations & combinations to craft a musical or digital experience. In the nascent stages of the UX industry, a UX designer was largely responsible for the ‘Shapes’ only. Shapes essentially relate to the navigation, interaction & layout elements of a digital interface such as tabs, cards, links, buttons, etc. Images and words were other people’s responsibility which was an extremely siloed and fragmented way of approaching UX design.

Experience is a seamless amalgamation of all three elements working together as a harmonious whole to create a desired feeling. As the UX industry matured, the UX designers role evolved as a result of this need for a more holistic approach to experience design.
Move over navigation…content is the new king.

Navigation used to be the most important pillar of UX design but it has gradually become less and less important. Navigation in the traditional sense means moving between screens. However, users today are not really moving between screens. Are they? Think about your content consumption behaviour on mobile phones… facebook for example…what percentage of using facebook involves ‘navigation’. You open the app and then basically just scroll. Mobile interfaces and the need to keep users hooked have ensured that infinite scrolls have replaced traditional navigation elements such as tabs, links, buttons, etc.

With Navigation out of the way, Content has emerged as the differentiator. If finding content is just as easy everywhere, what creates real digital differentiation today how the content is written.

What all does ‘content’ include on a digital interface…?

Below are a few examples/areas where words can play an important role...

Wisconsin Supreme Court Says Trump Election Contest Lawsuit Must Start in Lower Courts

The calendar is obviously working against there being a remedy available to the campaign in Wisconsin prior to the meeting of the Electoral College. This point needs to be driven home in as part of a need for all states to reconsider the “mail-in” ballot schemes they have adopted. There simply is not enough time in the aftermath of a Presidential election, between the day of the election and the meeting of the Electoral College, to properly investigate and challenge millions of “mail-in” ballots — and that very fact only incentivizes the even further expansion of the use of such a process.

So not only are they saying they wouldn’t cover it, but they’re also talking about how they’ll try to spin the scandal, to make it about Trump rather than about Biden and how there’s a “media story,” how dare the New York Times Maggie Haberman and Politico’s Jake Sherman actually retweet this news.

For Expats and Missionaries, COVID-19 Was a Crossroads | Christianity Today

Katzung doesn’t know if Taiwan is home anymore. He and his three daughters, ages 5, 4, and 2, left the country in a hurry in March when coronavirus case numbers started getting bad and borders started shutting down. His wife, Dava, was already in the States for a visit with family and never got to go back to Taiwan to say goodbye.

They had lived there for two years, sharing their lives and their love with their Taiwanese neighbors as Katzung worked as a counselor at a university.

Now they are living in a borrowed one-bedroom apartment in Colorado. They have a borrowed car, borrowed children’s toys, and borrowed coats that the girls wear when they go outside to see the snow.

“We are in an uncomfortable holding position, a forced flexibility,” Katzung said. “These are the struggles of cross-cultural workers. We get things stripped away. Now we’re at another layer of stripping.” //

The immediate crisis has passed. People living abroad have all made the decision about whether to stay or go. But that was just the start for them. Now they have to deal with the ongoing uncertainties and the changes the pandemic has wrought.

That brings grief, and grief takes time. //

“I think one thing that we are learning is that we can be present wherever we’re at and whatever our circumstances are,” Katzung said. “Even if COVID-19 became the final straw in a series of crazy events, we want to follow God in faith and trust however he leads.”

How Rainbow Tables work

I found the creator of Rainbow Table's paper, aimed at cryptanalysts, was pretty inaccessible considering the simplicity and elegance of Rainbow Tables, so this is an overview of it for a layman.

Hash functions map plaintext to hashes so that you can't tell a plaintext from its hash.

If you want to find a given plaintext for a certain hash there are two simple methods:

  • Hash each plaintext one by one, until you find the hash.
  • Hash each plaintext one by one, but store each generated hash in a sorted table so that you can easily look the hash up later without generating the hashes again

Going one by one takes a very long time, and storing each hash takes an amount of memory which simply doesn't exist (for all but the smallest of plaintext sets). Rainbow tables are a compromise between pre-computation and low memory usage.

Atomic Show #284 - Meredith Angwin, Author of Shorting the Grid: The Hidden Fragility of Our Electric Grid - Atomic Insights

There is no organization or individual that is responsible for making sure that electricity is generated, transmitted and delivered to customers.

Various organizations, often with competing or conflicting interests, have shared responsibility for different parts of the system that includes generators, transformers, switchyards, transmission lines, distribution lines and billing systems, but “the market” has been assigned the responsibility of supplying wholesale electricity.

And that market is not the free market, but instead is a hybrid that is governed by an ever changing stack of layered rules where many of the important decisions are made by participant groups that do not include customers or even enabled representatives of customers.

A growing portion of the grid’s electricity is dependent on free, but uncontrolled natural flows. Another portion comes from generators whose fuel is delivered by capacity-limited pipes in a “just in time fashion.” When the natural flows are interrupted or something interferes in the pipelines’s capability to deliver fuel, generators stop producing power.

There are processes that can be called into action, but costs can skyrocket in times of scarcity. Some market players thrive in times of crisis and have few incentives to ensure those crises never arise.

Climate Alarmists Said We Had 14 Months Before Climate Change Was Irreversible...It's Been Over 14 Months

AOC and the hard-left want the very socialistic Green New Deal to be pushed through so badly they’ll lie their heads off to make it happen and if it means scaring the population into compliance then so be it.

You’ll never see AOC show up to debate anyone about it. It’s clear the ramifications of the Green New Deal would scare the population even more than the left’s climate scaremongering. Better to tell everyone that we’re about to hit the point of no return and make them climate issue voters.

Only once again, the deadline’s come and gone, and everything is great. The only thing burning up is the left’s climate narrative.

Finally -- Congress Passes Statute Imposing US Accounting Standards on Foreign (Chinese) Companies

Yesterday, the House passed — unanimously — a new law imposing United States accounting standards on all foreign companies that are listed on US stock exchanges.

The Senate has already passed the bill — also unanimously — and Pres. Trump is expected to sign it into law without delay.

The bill, the “Holding Foreign Companies Accountable Act,” requires that any foreign companies traded on US stock exchanges must prepare financial disclosures and audits in compliance with US accounting standards.  The consequence of a failure to comply is that the company will be delisted by the exchanges.  Compliance is to be enforced by the SEC in the same manner that it enforces accounting and audit standards on US companies.

It is no secret that the legislation is aimed squarely at Chinese companies that have listed themselves on US stock exchanges in order to access US capital markets.  One provision in the new statute requires Chinese companies specifically to identify any Directors who are members of the Chinese Communist Party.

Most foreign companies traded on US exchanges already comply with US accounting standards, as most have operations inside the United States.

But Chinese owned companies operate under Chinese laws that prevent corporate records and audit papers from leaving China.  In most respects, this leaves investors who purchase shares in the companies largely in the dark as to whether the company’s publicly reported financial condition is a true reflection of its actual financial condition. //

According to a government report, there are 217 Chinese companies listed on NASDAQ, the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), and NYSE American, with a total market capitalization of $2.2 trillion. Some are also traded on foreign exchanges, and may simply allow themselves to be delisted in the United States while remaining on those foreign exchanges.

But the US stock exchange markets have one significant difference from most foreign exchanges — companies are allowed to become publicly traded before they show net profitability, unlike in many foreign stock exchange markets. This allows start-up companies — often companies with cutting-edge technology advances — to go into the equities markets to raise money from investors for development and advancement based on projected future earnings.

Taking this action will likely result in greater Chinese government financing of developing companies in China — with the risk of failure to rest on the Chinese government rather than investors in United States equities markets. The Chinese had adamantly worked to prevent the passage of this legislation, and there is much uncertainty about how China might react — especially in response to a Biden Administration (maybe).

Case Challenging Penn. Mail-In Voting Seeks Emergency Injunction From Justice Alito To Prevent Naming of Electors

In dismissing the Kelly complaint challenging votes cast pursuant to Act 77, the Supreme Court held that the suit was barred by “laches” because the Plaintiffs did not seek to challenge the statute when it was passed.

The Plaintiffs have clearly established a legal “Catch-22” by which the Penn. Supreme Court has shut the doors of the Courthouse to any meaningful challenge to Act 77.

I think this was done ENTIRELY by design, anticipating that the majority of the members of the Penn. Supreme Court would not be able to resist their partisan proclivities in moving quickly to dismiss the complaint and thereby springing the trap laid for them by Plaintiffs and their counsel.

Study Sees Ecological Risks as Solar Expands | Climate Central

A study published Monday shows that solar power developers in California have been using mostly undeveloped desert lands with sensitive wildlife habitat as sites for new solar power installations rather than building on less sensitive, previously developed open lands.

The study, by the Carnegie Institution for Science and Stanford University, shows the ecological footprint of solar power development could grow to more than 27,500 square miles — roughly the land area of South Carolina — if the U.S. were to adopt a more ambitious climate goal. When thousands of solar panels are built in undeveloped natural areas, the panels crowd out wildlife and destroy their habitat.

“Solar takes out a lot of territory, right? It obliterates everything,” University of California-Santa Cruz ecologist Barry Sinervo, who is unaffiliated with the study, said. “There is as much plant biodiversity in the Mojave as there is in a redwood forest. The key part of this is, do we want to tile out the last largest wilderness area that we have, which is the Western desert?”

The Carnegie study found that of the 161 planned or operating utility-scale solar power developments in California, more than half have been or will be built on natural shrub and scrublands totaling about 145 square miles of land, roughly the land area of the city of Bakersfield, Calif. About 28 percent have been built on agricultural land and 15 percent have been built in developed areas.

Areas that have already been developed and have little wildlife habitat would be better suited for solar development from an ecological standpoint, said study lead author Rebecca Hernandez, a postdoctoral fellow at University of California, Berkeley, and a former ecologist at the Carnegie Institution. //

“We can’t just throw them (solar installations) across a landscape and say biological diversity be damned,” he said.

“We have to find the right places to put these things,” he said. “If you’re in Washington or Spain or France and you just see this landscape that from a satellite looks like there’s nothing there, it’s hard for them to imagine why anyone would be upset about throwing 10 or 20 square miles of glass across this (desert) to produce solar energy. There are biological riches that are part of our natural heritage that we don’t want to lose.”
