There's nothing wrong with going around when you're unstable on an approach. Forcing a landing can lead to incidents and accidents. What would you do in this situation?
Coca-Cola, Apple, Nike, Disney – they are interested in principles when those principles don’t disrupt the supply chain. Multinational companies are fine with chained labor if the supply chain remains unbroken.
In May 2020, Microsoft surprised everyone (including me) by releasing the source code to GW-BASIC. Rich Turner (Microsoft) wrote in the announcement on the Microsoft Developer Blog:
Since re-open-sourcing MS-DOS 1.25 & 2.0 on GitHub last year, we’ve received numerous requests to also open-source Microsoft BASIC. Well, here we are! As clearly stated in the repo's readme, these sources are the 8088 assembly language sources from 10th Feb 1983 and are being open-sourced for historical reference and educational purposes. This means we will not be accepting PRs (Pull Requests) that modify the source in any way.
You can find the GW-BASIC source code release at the GW-BASIC GitHub. And yes, Microsoft used the MIT License, which makes this open source software.

If you look at the Loudoun County Public Schools’ website or any documents or emails they put out, there’s very little about academic excellence. It’s all about feelings and I don’t need my children being taught how to feel. Teach them how to think. Prepare them to go out into the world. In America, we’re all about the marketplace of ideas. But what we’re doing is telling kids what to think. We’re not teaching them how to think.
Part of parenting is teaching your child all of those things. I don’t want the government doing it — I do not co-parent with the government. I really hope when my kids look back 10 years from now, they can appreciate that I did this fight for them. Part of this has been hard, because I’ve lost a lot of friends who don’t agree with my advocacy. But I cannot live with myself if I don’t do what’s right. Honestly, this is the fight of my life.
Copy of US Declaration of Independence - kept by the only Catholic Founding Father Charles Carroll in 1776 - sells for £3.2m after being found in Scottish attic of his descendants //
Charles Carroll of Carollton gave document to grandson-in-law John MacTavish
It then descended into the Scottish family and ended up in their attic
It was found by a specialist from Edinburgh-based auctioneers Lyon & Turnbull
The owners of the home where it was found wished to remain anonymous //
The signer's copy, one of only six known to still be in private hands, is a representation of the original 1776 document that declared the independence of Britain's 13 American colonies. //
After extensive research we confirmed it was indeed one of the 201 copies made by William Stone, of which only 48 of them are known to still exist. Being able to identify to whom the copy belonged made it even more exciting and rare.' //
The 200 first copies were made by printer John Dunlap on the night the document was signed.
It was then distributed throughout the North American colonies the following morning to be read aloud to the colonists and their militia. //
January 10, 1776: Thomas Paine published a booklet entitled Common Sense.
It outlined his vision of a government in which the people, through their elected representatives, would have supreme power.
Paine was the first to openly suggest independence from Britain.
Common Sense was read by many, including George Washington.
The work was to have a massive influence on Thomas Jefferson in his writing of the Declaration of Independence.
May: Congress, meeting in Philadelphia, receives Richard Henry Lee's resolution urging the colonies to become free and independent states.
June 11: Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Roger Sherman, and Robert Livingston are appointed to a committee to draft a declaration of independence.
June 12-27: Jefferson is chosen to write the first draft, of which only a fragment exists. Jefferson's clean copy - the 'original Rough draught' - is reviewed by the committee. Both documents are in the manuscript collections of the Library of Congress.
July 1-4: Congress debates and revises the declaration.
July 2: Congress declares independence. John Hancock, President of the Congress and Charles Thomson, the secretary, signed the document.
July 4, 1776: The United States is officially born.
Domanski said MyCloud users on OS 3 can virtually eliminate the threat from this attack by simply ensuring that the devices are not set up to be reachable remotely over the Internet. MyCloud devices make it super easy for customers to access their data remotely, but doing so also exposes them to attacks like last month’s that led to the mass-wipe of MyBook Live devices.

The sea is on fire but some people still think capitalism can be managed. //
Except there’s a small problem with that argument, kids. You just got burned with your own narrative.
The company behind this is Pemex, a Mexican-state controlled company that formed by nationalizing private companies in 1938. Literally the opposite of “capitalism.” It’s the state seizing the means of production. Pemex also has a long history of “major industrial accidents at its facilities,” according to Reuters.
Not to mention it also has a bad record of pollution, being named one of the top polluters in the world. When the government seizes control, they run things the way government often runs anything — badly. When there’s no incentive to do things better (you know, that whole capitalism thing), you tend to get shoddy work. So, these folks who wanted to gore capitalism just pointed out a great example of why socialism is bad.
By May 1776, eight of the colonies had already decided they would support independence, but the National Archives says it wasn’t until June 7, 1776, that the clearest call for independence came when Richard Henry Lee of Virginia read what is now known as the Lee Resolution, proposing independence for the Thirteen Colonies from Britain.
Before Congress recessed for three weeks, a Committee of Five was appointed to draft a statement that would declare the colonies' case for independence to the world. The committee included John Adams, Roger Sherman, Benjamin Franklin, Robert R. Livingston and Thomas Jefferson.
The first draft, which was primarily written by Jefferson and edited by Adams and Franklin, was presented to Congress on June 28, 1776, a few days before it reconvened. On July 2, 1776, 12 of the 13 colonies — New York did not vote — adopted the Lee Resolution immediately before Congress began to consider the Declaration of Independence. After a few changes and revisions to the document, Congress officially adopted the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776.
After the adoption of the Declaration of Independence was officially approved on July 9, 1776, by the New York Convention, Congress ordered on July 19, 1776, that the declaration be “fairly engrossed on parchment with the title and stile [sic] of 'The unanimous declaration of the thirteen United States of America,' and that the same, when engrossed, be signed by every member of Congress.” The National Archives says “engrossing is the process of preparing an official document in a large, clear hand.”
A journal of Continental Congress records shows that delegates began signing the engrossed Declaration of Independence on Aug. 2, 1776, in Philadelphia.
“One of the most widely held misconceptions about the Declaration is that it was signed on July 4, 1776, by all the delegates in attendance,” the National Archives says on its website. “John Hancock, the President of the Congress, was the first to sign the sheet of parchment. In accordance with prevailing custom, the other delegates began to sign at the right below the text, their signatures arranged according to the geographic location of the states they represented. New Hampshire, the northernmost state, began the list, and Georgia, the southernmost, ended it.”
While 56 delegates eventually signed the Declaration of Independence, according to the National Archives, not all of them were present on Aug. 2, 1776, and some of them never signed the document, including Committee of Five member Robert R. Livingston, “who thought the Declaration was premature.”
A California Highway Patrol officer pulled over a vehicle on Friday that had a satellite dish bolted to the car's hood, and the device appeared to be one of SpaceX's Starlink antennas.
"Sir I stopped you today for that visual obstruction on your hood. Does it not block your view while driving?" CHP of Antelope Valley wrote in a Facebook post about the incident.
CHP added that the motorist replied: "Only when I make right turns."

Last weekend, I wrote about Biden’s machinations and opined that if the GOP once again chooses to play the fool on this issue, the party doesn’t deserve to exist any longer. Well, it’s official – the GOP does not deserve to exist any longer. //
Any political party that can’t even operate effectively as the opposition is a useless party. At this point, it’s fairly clear that the older generation of the GOP, specifically in the Senate, is not salvageable. We’ll see where that leads.
Tuesday, Colorado Republican Lauren Boebert took to the floor of the House to excoriate Joe Biden and to put words into the Congressional Record that one never thought one would read.
Here’s her floor speech.
Madam speaker i want to begin this evening by thanking my democrat colleagues for their outstanding work and encouraging millions of Americans to celebrate their second amendment rights by purchasing their first, second, or even 100th firearm.
From the Left’s riots and cities across America to Biden’s threats to strip away our basic constitutional rights. Democrats are single-handedly responsible for the sale of tens of millions of firearms.
Bravo.
Well done and I hear that the interest has begun to pique when it comes to the sale of F-15s now.
I have some questions for these freedom haters. When are you going to call on the chief executive, the basement dweller, to hold his own son accountable for his gun crimes?
Hunter Biden lied on a federal firearms application which is punishable by up to 10 years and a $250,000 fine of which ten percent will not be going to the big guy. Rules for thee but not for my crackhead Parmesan smoking gun criminal son. What about the disposal of Hunter Biden’s gun in a back alley dumpster? And why was the Secret Service involved in locating this firearm? Can you just imagine for half a second if Donald Trump Jr was involved in firearms crimes and his dad ordered the Secret Service to cover it up? That’s just the start of the hypocrisy. Biden will call widely purchased firearms weapons of war but then he’ll tell you that you need an F-15 or a nuke to keep the federal government in check. He will target so-called merchants of death but celebrate the 600 abortion clinics across America.
This regime will encourage riots, defund the police and try to take away American’s right to self-defense. Madam Speaker, the American people are not on board with the Biden regime’s hypocritical gun grabbing. Instead they are buying guns at a record rate. So my colleagues from the other side, they can keep running their mouths and we will keep adding to our arsenals.
Thank you gentlemen. I yield back.
