Things you need to livestream

1. Video input + tripod
2. Audio input
3. Computer + good internet connection
4. A livestream service to publish to
5. Optional: Software to mix the input sources and overlay slides

What we’re doing: Our main goal for production quality is clear audio and ‘good enough’ video. We’ve really just been using whatever we had available.

Basic procedure

1. Set up video cam on tripod.
2. Connect cam to PC via USB capture card.
3. Plug in audio interface and cables from mixer.
4. Open ‘YouTube studio’ website, create a new ‘stream’. Create FB post with the new youtube video link. Copy stream key.
5. Start Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) and paste in stream key.
6. Start stream from OBS to begin sending data to YouTube.
7. Check volumes and audio sync.
8. From YouTube, click ‘GO LIVE’ after worship music set end.
9. Stop YouTube stream after sermon.
