The Appeals Court blocked the order, and Texas will follow the signature matching procedure set forth in the statute. But the decision today, if left to stand — and then built upon by other decisions in other courts — is going to send shock waves through the activist legal community because of some of the “markers” it lays down. Language in the decision paves the way for the Fifth Circuit to ultimately find that while “the right to vote” is constitutionally protected, the right to vote “in a particular fashion” or in the most convenient manner, are not covered by the same constitutional protections. Such a holding would curtail much of the effort by liberal judges to rewrite state voting statutes on the basis that the procedures sanctioned by a state are constitutionally unsound.
Rubio argued that while protecting the integrity of the Supreme Court is important, the fight against the Democrat Party is about more than protecting our institutions — another part of the “dirty little secret”:
“[T]his is about more than our institutions — it is about what happens to our country, our communities, and our way of life if the radical left and the Democratic Party destroy them. It is clear they don’t want to pack the Supreme Court just to cancel out the votes of Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and soon Amy Coney Barrett. They want to pack the Court to cancel out your ability to resist their radical agenda.”
Joe Biden exercised incredibly poor judgement, placing a highly classified counterintelligence operation at risk, and undermined the incoming administration. //
A recently leaked phone call between then-Vice President Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko directly after the 2016 presidential election shows that Biden sought to sabotage the incoming Trump administration before Donald Trump even took office, and much worse.
During the course of the call, Biden badmouthed the incoming administration, saying, “The truth of the matter is that the incoming administration doesn’t know a great deal about [Ukraine]” and that they were unprepared for the transition. This in itself is inappropriate, but it was meant to set the stage for Biden’s next statement and future plans.
Biden then told Poroshenko, “I don’t plan on going away. As a private citizen, I plan on staying deeply engaged in the endeavor that you have begun and we have begun.” In a matter of moments, Biden undermined the incoming administration, branded them as not knowing anything about Ukraine, and attempted to set up a foreign policy backchannel for himself after he left office as a private citizen, which could violate the Logan Act.
There’s a mystery about to unfold about Hunter Biden’s connection to an Indian bond fraud scheme that happened from 2014-15, for which some business associates of Hunter Biden have gone to federal prison.
Bottom line: Hunter Biden followed his partner, Devon Archer, into bed with some unabashed Wall Street fraud merchants.
No ifs, ands, or buts — Hunter Biden laid down with dogs and now he’s got fleas.
As I was writing this article I found myself toggling between immense feelings of pride in the good people of this country and fits of anger over those who seek to destroy it. In the end, I said to myself, aloud:
“Hmm. That pretty much sums up 2020.”
A Christian can believe that homosexuality is wrong and that the lifestyle should not be engaged in. They can also love anyone who is LGBT as they would love anyone else. The rejection isn’t of the person, it’s of the action. As Pratt said, we are commanded by Christ to love one another. While Christ makes it clear that we’re not to engage in sinful behaviors ourselves, loving the person while rejecting the sin can happen simultaneously.
We, as Christians, do not make the sin and the person the same entity. They are separate things. A person may choose to reject his sin and ask Christ to take it from him. When Christ does, the entire person isn’t scrapped.
This makes Christians a rather friendly group who rejects the idea of hatred of an individual based on their sins. Christians reject homosexuality in the same way they reject thievery, lying, and adultery. At some point, everyone sins, and everyone, if asked, is forgiven. The vast majority of Christians still have homosexual friends while not condoning or participating in the lifestyle.
The hard-left doesn’t seem to have this ability to disagree or reject a lifestyle while still maintaining a friendship or loving the person while not participating in the idea they oppose. To them, being a Christian is intolerable and thus must not only be rejected, but anyone who is one must be canceled.
No idea can thrive but theirs. So they let their hatreds and intolerances run wild. They make false claims about individuals or institutions, accuse of their opponents of pure evil, and destroy the lives of whoever they can if they keep to it. Even if they don’t just being friendly with someone who believes in Christianity may get you canceled as well.
The real bigots here aren’t the Christians…it’s the hard left.
With critical race theory seeping its way into government agencies and all levels of society, the state of the nation could turn dire if it isn't stopped.
Surveying the urban war zones, property destruction, and the shuttered businesses across so many American cities, many wonder, “Just how did we get here, and will we ever regain normalcy?” Those two questions loom over the November election, but what’s really at stake is a choice between civilization and chaos.
Most people don’t realize there is a pernicious ideology behind the Black Lives Matter movement and the Democrat leadership that empowers it, and it’s called critical race theory. Most importantly, this theory is an integral part of Democrats’ strategy to establish a “new normalcy” in every institution, from public schools to all government agencies.
On the eve of Labor Day weekend, following the reporting of Christopher Rufo on Fox News’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight” that critical race theory had infiltrated many of the agencies of the Federal bureaucracy, President Trump issued a directive that all federal agencies cancel training programs based in the theory. On Thursday, Trump announced a 1776 Commission to directly respond to CRT with accurate historical education.
Unbeknownst to most, critical race theory education and training programs were being promoted throughout various federal government agencies through the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, which came into existence from President Obama’s 2011 Executive Order 13583. His stated purpose was to “Establish a Coordinated Government Initiative to Promote Diversity and Inclusion in the Federal Workforce.” He amped that up in his last six months in office, perhaps to institutionalize his legacy.
In July 2016, Obama rolled out the “Inclusive Diversity Strategic Plan,” calling on federal agencies to “fully utilize policies, programs, and systems that support inclusive diversity through increasingly focused, innovative, and accelerated communication and learning strategies.”
To make sense of all this, it’s important to recognize that diversity and inclusion were already well established in the federal government long before Obama’s 2011 executive order. At that time, the percentage of blacks and minorities in the federal workforce was about 18 percent and 34 percent respectively, a disproportionately larger representation than in either the civilian population or the private-sector workforce.
By the end of the Obama administration, the percentage of minority representation in the federal government was even higher. Thus the 2016 initiative was probably less about expanding “diversity” and “inclusion” than it was about indoctrination — the “focused, innovative, and accelerated communication and learning strategies” for government personnel — which is where “critical race theory” comes in.
This isn’t about Amy Coney Barrett or Justice Neil Gorsuch or Justice Brett Kavanaugh. The truth is that this has been in the works since Donald Trump was elected president of the United States four years ago.
The good news is that Senate Republicans saw this coming and began laying the groundwork to push back against the Democrats’ efforts to destroy our institutions. In March 2019, my colleagues and I introduced a constitutional amendment that would limit the Supreme Court of the United States to nine justices.
It is telling that no Democratic senator has cosponsored my constitutional amendment, which would merely keep the Supreme Court at the same number of seats it has had since 1869. Now, every Republican who cares about preserving our institutions should join us. //
Protecting our legal institutions is critical. Over the past two centuries, they have defended and upheld Americans’ natural rights and made the United States the most exceptional nation in all of human history.
But this is about more than our institutions -- it is about what happens to our country, our communities, and our way of life if the radical left and the Democratic Party destroy them. It is clear they don’t want to pack the Supreme Court just to cancel out the votes of Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and soon Amy Coney Barrett. They want to pack the Court to cancel out your ability to resist their radical agenda. //
Our Founders believed in a radical idea: that all men are created equal and that their rights came from God, from our Creator. That idea -- the very premise of our nation’s founding -- is increasingly under assault from the left. They would have you believe that America and its founding is irredeemably racist, and that nothing short of a revolution is acceptable.
This cultural revolution will come at a great cost to our personal freedoms and natural rights, but our nation’s institutions stand as a bulwark against the effort to remake America.
Chris Pratt is, once again, getting dragged on social media by people who seem to have nothing better to do than get angry about things. I say “once again” because bashing Pratt seems to be an occurrence that happens once a month. It doesn’t take much to get the internet outrage machine going for Pratt.
The foaming at the mouth over Pratt has everything to do with the Guardians of the Galaxy star being everything the hard-left disapproves of. He openly worships Christ, runs a farm, and lives off the land. He promotes appreciation for our troops and teaches his children to respect and cherish America.
These facts alone make him a target for ridicule, hatred, and cancelation. As I write this, Pratt is trending on Twitter with the floodgates of hatred opened.
Now Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe has spoken on the burgeoning scandal that, if we had a free and unbiased press, would have driven Joe Biden from the campaign already:
Don't drag the intelligence community into this....Hunter Biden's laptop IS NOT part of some Russian disinformation campaign"
@DNI_Ratcliffe on Adam Schiff's weekend lying //
It isn’t very often that a cabinet secretary calls the chairman of his own oversight committee a boldfaced liar.
This is about as definitive a statement on the emails being Russian disinformation as one can get.
