the Democrats are following the Cloward-Piven strategy to bankrupt the country and usher in a “socialist Utopia.” And why wouldn’t they since the modern Democrat Party is nothing but a collection of “democratic socialists” and Communists-by-other names (e.g., the 100-plus members of the “Congressional Progressive Caucus”)? They couldn’t care less about fiscal responsibility and living within one’s means.
The Democrats’ goal is to pass this giveaway to Democrat constituencies and then force a follow-on gigantic tax increase to pay for it (or at least some of it). Everyone – even the RINOs in Congress – know that is the standard Democrat tax-and-spend play, except this time the order is reversed: spend first then tax to pay for it. The Hologram’s tax plan announced in April totaled $1.8 trillion in new taxes. The remaining $1.7 trillion would be deficit spending, with a big spike added to the federal debt.

In August 2019, former President Trump signed the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2019 that suspended the debt ceiling through July 31, 2021. //
Republicans need to use the debt ceiling to halt the Democrats’ spend-and-tax plans in order to prevent an economic tailspin in the country. That and the filibuster are just about the only tools left to congressional Republicans (besides enhancing election integrity laws in various states and electing fiscally conservative Republicans in 2022). //
The bill is going to come due at some point; there will have to be tax increases to pay for the deficits planned by the Democrats to finance their schemes. Those taxes will be the biggest negative impact on businesses and the economy in general moving into the future. The scale and scope of the federal government is so gargantuan that there will never be a return to fiscal discipline and a balanced budget unless action is taken now. A general economic slowdown is inevitable unless the out-of-control spending stops.
And it will require grassroots pressure to provide the Republicans with the spine and staying power needed to fight off the inevitable Democrat-media onslaught. //

One respectful correction. While Democrats were once the "tax and spend" party, that is no longer the case.
Now, the Party is the "spend and tax" party.
What came before was almost, ALMOST, at least a tip of the hat to fiscal responsibility or maybe a sort of fiscal acknowledgement. Now, blowing up anything resembling fiscal acknowledgement is THE POINT. Blow up the budget so as to FORCE draconian taxation and the attendant draconian control to collect such weighty taxes.

Jan 6th was the worst attack on the Capitol since 1812? Odd because in 1954, five congressmen were wounded on the floor when 4 terrorists opened fire from the visitor area. (Prez Carter later commuted/reduced the sentences.)
https://blogs.loc.gov/headlinesandheroes/2020/05/1954-shooting-at-the-u-s-capitol/ //
A lot of things happened on January 6th. What did not happen is a hitman directly ordering people to attack the Capitol, in this case, Donald Trump. During his speech, Trump specifically asked people to peacefully protest. That some of the protesters didn’t is ultimately on them for choosing not to listen. We have agency in this country, and people are responsible for their own actions.
Besides, there’s precious little evidence there was any intent to carry out a real “hit” that day. Those that entered the Capitol had ample opportunity to cause bodily harm to people inside and they didn’t. That includes police officers who stood in the hallways telling crowds to stay back. That the officers did that is commendable, but the reality is that they could have been easily overrun. That they weren’t is evidence that the crowds were merely looking to cause a scene, and that’s exactly what happened.
According to a study of 68 cities by the Major Cities Chiefs Association, in the summer of 2020, there were at least 574 protests that involved acts of violence, including assaults on police officers, looting and arson. More than 2,000 police officers sustained injuries in the line of duty. Should congress investigate the 2020 violent protests that occurred in these cities?
66% said yes, they should, 21% said no and 13% said they weren’t sure. By comparison, only 49% said they supported Pelosi’s investigatory Committee. So two-thirds want the BLM/Antifa investigated for the full year of rioting, killing, and assaulting people, far more than support Pelosi’s investigation.
People across political parties and minorities were in support of a BLM/Antifa investigation.
Senate Democrats intend to erode as many barriers around the reconciliation process as possible.

Sen. Dick Durbin describes Sen. @TimScottSC's police reform bill as a "token, half-hearted approach" //
Scott, who is black, had slammed Democrats and others last week for their attacks on him, according to the Daily Caller.
“Not surprising the last 24 hours have seen a lot of ‘token’ ‘boy’ or ‘you’re being used’ in my mentions. Let me get this straight … you DON’T want the person who has faced racial profiling by police, been pulled over dozens of times, or been speaking out for YEARS drafting this?” Scott said on Twitter. //

Six months after the Jan. 6 riot, the U.S. Capitol Police is planning to expand operations outside Washington in an effort to better protect lawmakers, beginning with the opening of field offices in California and Florida. //
According to the New York Times, the U.S. Capitol Police have announced they are now planning to expand operations outside Washington “beginning with the opening of field offices in California and Florida” but the plan is to open “several additional regional offices.” Their spokesman says they need to monitor and quickly investigate threats against lawmakers.
The New York Times tries to justify this by saying that Secret Service has field offices elsewhere. But the Secret Service has multiple missions including not just covering protectees like the President or Vice President but also investigations into crimes against the financial infrastructure of the United States. They’re also part of the executive branch and subject to review and FOIA.
The Capitol Police is now basically just saying we’re going to have this huge expansion of this police power without any review or even a vote of Congress. They are completely controlled by Congress (translation: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, at this point). We’ve seen how they respond to a basic question of who killed Ashli Babbitt by simply refusing to answer because they can. How do we think that’s going to work as they fan out and start investigating people across the nation? As we saw in the case of Babbitt, they are also not subject to FOIA.
The left weaponized mass migration to turn California into a one-party state. Now, the Democratic Party is working to subject the rest of the country to the same fate through open borders and amnesty.
The Democratic messaging group Future Majority in May released a deck identifying areas where Republicans hold an advantage:
Of the issues polled, “defunding the police,” “open borders” and “reparations for slavery” were by far the biggest turnoffs for both independents and voters in general.
Republicans bested Democrats on jobs and the economy, gun rights, and “keeping you and your family safe.”
The poll, Future Majority wrote in its report on the findings, “shows voters, especially Independents, believe Democrats overspend.” //
Of course, Republicans could screw all this up, whether it’s by folding to Democrats on policy or focusing on issues that don’t move the needle such as making everything about the 2020 election. If the GOP is going to win in 2022, they have to remain laser-focused on the issues that win elections. The time to worry about investigations and other issues like that is after retaking power because if they don’t, they won’t be able to move on any of that stuff anyway.
Reflecting on the Jim Crow era, Cruz noted that “Jim Crow legislation was grotesque and ugly” before lowering the boom on Democrats, reminding them as to the specifics of who passed the legislation, why it was passed, and how the “For the People” act – which Cruz described as the “Corrupt Politicians” act, was a modern-day version of it – also written by Democrats and designed to keep them in power.
Jim Crow laws were the type of “legislation that was drafted without exception by Democratic politicians,” Cruz correctly pointed out. “Jim Crow was written by Democratic politicians, and its purpose, when the Jim Crow laws were written were to prevent the voters from ever voting out of office Democratic politicians.”
“Thankfully,” Cruz observed, “we repudiated Jim Crow.”
That repudiation included the repudiation of its current manifestation, Cruz went on to state.
“The Majority Leader used the phrase ‘Jim Crow 2.0,’ and inadvertently he’s right, but not about what he’s describing. He’s right about the ‘Corrupt Politicians’ act. The ‘Corrupt Politicians’ act follows the exact same pattern that Jim Crow did. It is partisan legislation written by elected Democrats, designed to keep elected Democrats in office and to steal the right to vote from the citizenry to decide on somebody else.”
Democrats are focused like a laser beam on passing a federal takeover of the voting system. In case you haven’t been taking notes, it’s completely out of bounds to question the veracity of our current election system — unless you want to mandate ballot harvesting, outlaw voter ID, and make mail-in voting universal across the country. Then, it’s totally cool to suggest our current elections aren’t free and fair. //

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on H.R. 1: "We cannot rely solely on a wish of winning elections" //
Oh, really? So Democrats can’t rely on simply winning elections fair and square? How very interesting.
There must be something about to break that is going to make Joe Biden and the Democrats look worse than they already do.
AOC and her ilk thought they could accomplish their legislative goals while they appeared to be ascendant within the party — “get on board or get left behind”. But the progressives/socialists never had the votes even when the media touted every move they made. Yes, the Democrat caucus is more liberal, but it is not monolithic. It’s easy to vote “Yes” in the House or Senate when you know the legislation is DOA because Joe Manchin said so.
Joe Manchin is the Senate’s exterminator, and he allows a lot of Democrat friends to make “Show Votes” to keep the socialist hounds at bay back at home.
But AOC has seen enough. She knows he’s not the only problem.
We’ll know if she more than “just talk” when it comes time for her to decide whether to try and slay the King himself — a primary challenge to Chuck Schumer.
The left operates on its own internal currency and it’s the one currency in the world where the more of it you have the less of a person you are…at least by intent.
Social justice rules the Democrats and it’s a kind of ideology that puts more value on victimhood than it does success, merit, or talent. In fact, the more you have of those three, the worse of a person you are in the eyes of social justice adherents. It’s from this ideological foundation that we get “critical race theory.” //
Democrats are a lot like Wormtongue from The Lord of the Rings trilogy. He whispers lies into the ears of anyone he targets, and sometimes what he says may seem soothing and understanding but really they’re pure poison meant to make you doubt yourself and your own ability. Like the Democrats, he speaks for people, accusing those who resist his agenda of attempting to bring burdens and troubles upon the people he speaks for. Meanwhile, the person he’s poisoning believes what he says and grows as weak and incapable as he tells them they are. //
CRT is an attempt at teaching the black community, specifically children, that they can’t do anything because it will automatically result in failure thanks to the American system. The only way they’ll get anywhere is if they lean heavily into whatever program the Democrats say they should, oddly enough, driving them further into a system that oppresses them.
This is an unbelievable amount of racism that no one is addressing. The left says it’s attempting to help out those who America considers second class, but in truth, it’s Democrats who continue to put them there. They continue to divide races against each other, making them even more incapable of working for a better future.
Telling someone of a certain race that they can’t function without them is racism. Period.
These spoon-fed questions and powder puff interviews somehow got Harris into national office; but when she actually has to perform under pressure, Harris chokes. //
So, when I say Kamala Harris has been hand-picked, propped up, and groomed, it is legitimate. The ability to make a credible stand, stay cool under pressure, and think on your feet, are lessons learned when the challenges and pressures that produce growth and change are applied. Harris’ “Root Causes Guatemalan Tour” puts on full display that she has never had to suffer under any form of challenge or pressure for a very long time.
Whatever “intellect” or “smarts” Harris may have started with in her career, she quickly abandoned them for the easier cult of personality route, being handed roles and places of power that she never earned and would never be able to fill. //

You are a Californian. I am a Californian. Can either of us name a single thing Kamala Harris did for us when she was elected senator fo our state?
Her list of crimes while Caliof AG is long enough - mainly destroying two qualified ballot initiatives for public pension reform that could have saved this state, which she re-wrote the ballot language as AG, in order to ensure they would fail. And they did.
The second time she did this, the ballot sponsors just gave up and stopped campaigning for the issue they got enough signatures for to qualify - but Kamala Harris stuck a knife into both efforts - the second one was to repair what she inflicted the first time, but she found a way to destroy it the second time.
Harris is an absolutely awful politician on her own merits. Every embarrassing flub and hysterical cackle of the last week serves as a reminder of why her own presidential campaign was such a failure. Yet, the Biden administration knows she’s incapable of being a likable, competent figure. Instead of helping her and protecting her, they are hanging the border crisis around her neck and throwing her into the deep end with no floaties on. Further, they are negating to do the one thing that could settle a lot of the questions causing Harris so much consternation – just sending her to the border and getting it over with.
Meanwhile, Jill Biden is chilling at the G7, rubbing shoulders with royalty and cosplaying as co-president to the glowing reviews of the media. It’s all just too perfect to be a coincidence at this point. I’m convinced – Harris is the fall guy, and she’s being pushed over the cliff by the very administration she serves. //

Stealing election(s) was the only plan. This is the aftermath.
The left ignored the people in order to flaunt a narrative, but that narrative is costing them voters, and it’ll cost them even more down the line as previously Democrat voters realize that Republicans actually do far better at governing than the left does.
If Democrats are smart, they’ll stop to realize that it’s their own racism that’s blinding them to reality, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
the Washington Post’s fact-checker Glenn Kessler really went over the slide in his “fact check” of her statement.
Kessler claims that the Nazis weren’t socialist and gave her four Pinocchios for saying they were. He even called her “ahistorical.”
Now, it seems farcical that anyone would argue that, given it’s in the very name of their party – the National Socialist German Worker’s Party, (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei) or NSDAP -but it’s a common argument on the left. Perhaps it’s understandable that they don’t want to get tagged with that as part of leftist history. //
As the U.S. Holocaust Museum explains, describing the 25 points of the Nazi program:
The 25 points combined extreme nationalism, racial antisemitism, and socialist concepts with German outrage over the Versailles peace settlement following their defeat in World War I.
Now, what’s interesting is Kessler cites the first eight points, which tend to emphasize nationalism and racism. But he doesn’t include the remaining points of the program. Why would that be? He had to see all 25 if he saw the first 8 points. //
Here’s Hitler in 1931:
“To put it quite clearly: we have an economic programme. Point number 13 in that programme demands the nationalisation of all public companies, in other words socialisation, or what is known here as socialism… The basic principle of my Party’s economic programme should be made perfectly clear and that is the principle of authority… The good of the community takes priority over that of the individual. But the State should retain control; every owner should feel himself to be an agent of the State; it is his duty not to misuse his possessions to the detriment of the State or the interests of his fellow countrymen. That is the overriding point. The Third Reich will always retain the right to control property owners.”
Meet Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood as we all know, murders over 300,000 children in the womb every year.
Of those, the Family Research Council using CDC data reports, 36 percent are Black //
How did we get to this point? It starts with Margaret Sanger and her belief in — nay, active promotion of — eugenics. Her stated desire was the same as a certain well-known Austrian Corporal. According to a number of quotes laid out in, The Strange World of Margaret Sanger’s Birth Control Review: Part I.
Her aim was to prevent the procreation of those she deemed unfit “To Create a Race of Thoroughbreds.”

Something I wrote a few years ago:
Someone asked me to "pass on" a meme about "Assisted Dying Laws" because "it is so easy"! Let's put the "people in pain" out of their misery!
It has ALL happened before! This Eugenics philosophy thing. It sounds so "gentle", this killing. I certainly hope I never become one of these "Lebensunwertes Leben". You don't remember the "Lebensunwertes Leben"? You don't remember the past? Well, you are on the road to repeat it. Because this ALL happened before, the old, the sick, those in "pain"...all became the "Lebensunwertes Leben"...."The Life Unworthy of Life".
The first of the "Lebensunwertes Leben" were the people in pain and the "erbkraken", those with congenital, cognitive, and physical disabilities like the feeble-minded, the epileptic, the schizophrenic, the manic-depressive, the cerebral palsied, those with muscular dystrophy, the deaf, the blind, the weak, and the insane.
Up next, were the degenerate's and the homosexuals.
After that, they came for the idle, the dissident's, and the prisoners.
Then the Roma (Gypsies), the Slavs, and the other peoples of color, had their turn....
....and finally, they came for the Jews.
Yes, all of the above started out as the "Lebensunwertes Leben"...."The Life Unworthy of Life"...who became the "Untermensch", the "Subhuman Creatures", the "Lesser Men", and it all started with the people in pain....so when you "pass this on" because "it's so easy" remember...it has all happened before! We didn't like how it turned out in the 1930's and '40's and we won't like what it turns into now - Gregory Wilson aka audax
Democrats were trying to push through the vote on a “Jan. 6 Commission” today in the House.
They succeeded, with 35 Republicans crossing over to vote in favor of it, not seeming to care that it’s going to be a “bash Republicans” effort, rather than any sort of real investigation. There are already multiple investigations going on, so there wasn’t any need for an additional. This is simply an opportunity for Democrats to bash Republicans.
How do we know how biased this will be? Because we can already see how slimy Democrats are being about it. //

USCP does NOT take positions on legislation.
Kim Foxx, whom Harris mentored after Foxx became the first Black woman elected state’s attorney in Cook County, Illinois, said this is a learned reticence. “There’s a reality of doing this work as a woman and a Black woman—and it often isn’t talked about a lot publicly—that there’s a presumed resilience around people who are first,” Foxx told me. “There is a celebration of what it means to break the ceiling, and not nearly the conversation of what the cuts to your head look like.”
Are you freaking kidding me? This one of the lamest, most absurd, and self-defeating copouts I’ve ever seen in my life from a politician.
The left prides themselves on being able to declare “firsts.” Like the “first black president,” etc. They point to these as being evidence of significant progress in the push for wider recognition of minority groups. //
That she’s not addressing the media and her critics more tells us one of two things (or maybe both): She’s used to being coddled by a compliant press who are obsessed with left-wing “firsts” and avoids them as a way of punishing them for “not getting her” and/or she’s just winging all of this as she goes along and would rather avoid having to take pesky questions that would ultimately prove her critics right as to just how unsuited she is for the tasks she was given by President Biden. //

So, when are we going to be done with 'firsts' and start appointing people based on ability? First woman VP, first Native American, first Latino/a first LBGTMNOP, first, first first. How long is the 'first' list, how many incompetent/inexperienced 'firsts' do we have to suffer through until we can start using experience and competence as determining factor in appointments. How long is the 'first' list, how many so-called aggrieved parties will want their turn at being 'first' before the virtue signaling stops and competence is the order of the day? With intersectional identity politics they will never run short of firsts. I can't wait for the first multiracial androgynous paraplegic with social anxiety and Tourette's Syndrome. And maybe after that, the first Down Syndrome president to make the developmentally disabled feel represented. Because making sure all identities are represented is the prime responsibility of a chief executive.
The left doesn't see the culture as set of agreed upon principles as a vehicle to improve lives. It sees the culture as a mirror where everywhere they look they demand to see their own reflection.
